Aftermarket Blind Spot Indicator

Aftermarket Blind Spot Indicator
Anyone know if one exists? I am always on the highway and after driving my wife's MKX that had the BLIS feature I became curious as to how to do an aftermarket install.
When I was picking up my car at this time last year the feature piqued my interest but was unavailable with the color that I wanted (at the time) and the cooled seats and $3k extra felt like it was way overpriced.

my aftermarket blind spot is looking over my shoulders.
i can tell you how to get one, and its completely free..
or you can just get one of these.. its a few bucks.

I have those fish eyed mirrors on my wife's Pilot and they're great. Definitely a cheap way to eliminate your blind spot. I've considered putting them on my TL but wasn't sure if it would cover too much of the mirror (Pilot mirrors are huge).

Spot mirrors ok for heated mirrors?
My previous ride had spot mirrors on and I liked them so much I bought them for my wife's car. She loves them just as well.
However, since my 4G TL has the heated mirrors, I was instructed by the dealership and told by several mechanics NOT to install them because there would likely be a chemical reaction with the glue of the spot mirror and the TL mirror which could crack the TL mirror.
Anyone hear the same?

OK, while I understand there are adhesive mirrors I was really asking about a Blind Spot Indicator that was more along the lines of what Acura has for the Advance package.

Exactly. As a motorcyclist, I have to say that motorcycles don't always trigger these. Please don't let an electronics system be responsible for what you're supposed to be responsible for as a driver - one of which things is being aware of your surroundings.
It's not too hard to turn your head and look.

no aftermarket system will look clean on the interior of the car..
you should just trade in your 12 for a advance model if you want it.. or you can probably just purchase the blind spot indicator system directly from acura and install it.. im sure you can work that in

On the 4G TL, the BSI warning lights are located inside the cabin, which is not as convenient as if they're located directly on the exterior rearview mirror glasses as, for example, for MB and Cadillac. It's because it is very difficult to focus on the BSI light and the actual exterior rearview mirror at the same time, due to the distance between the two.
