Ironically, I'm at work reading this stuff! Maybe it's appropriate because I am in internet sales and this is an Acura related forum. But ironic none the less.

To the OP, I can't think of any way to prove these are your wheels and no way to prove that the seller is the thief. Many years ago I was woken up by my neighbor who 'caught' a kid stealing our Integra rims. He heard them and went out to the parking stall. The kids left their car (with two rims in the back seat) and ran. When one came back for his car, he caught the kid and called the cops. The cop asked my neighbor if he actually SAW the EXACT kid stealing rims. My neighbor said no it was dark and there were three of them. They let the kid go. He claimed that someone that he didn't know well borrowed his car but he had no idea that they were going to steal rims. Sad.

sorry to hear that... I had a brand new Supra stolen from my home overnight after I had it for 2 weeks. They found it 3 days later on someone's lawn a few miles away completely stripped. No body panels, not even the same wheels/tires... it was totaled and I was able to get a brand new replacement with $0 out of pocket since I had GAP insurance and they paid full replacement cost since it was so new.
Lesson here was to make sure you get GAP insurance. GAP stands for Guaranteed Asset Protection.

I thought GAP was Good Ass Protection? Seriously, I'd like to help put a beat down on the punks who snaked the rims, I'd fly 3000 miles to get in a few shots to the kidneys, or at least kick them in the ding ding.

Acura009, are you located in the 109 precinct jurisdiction? Get the community officer involved and see if he can help. Couple of months ago, I saw a brand new G35x in the neighborhoold missing all four wheels and rims, and the car was just sitting on top of 4 bricks for about 5 days. I feel for you!
