Acura new pricing incentives

Just got this email from Acura of Bellevue in an email. They have got to be hurting to offer these prices. Of course I purchased my AWD TL Tech before this.

Remaining 2008 TL’s - $3500 below invoice (only 5 are left!)

2009 TSX’s - $100 below invoice.

2009 TL’s - $100 over invoice (non-TECH), $300 below invoice on TECH Pkg.

2009 TL AWD - $500 over invoice (non-TECH), $1000 over invoice on TECH Pkg.

2009 RL AWD - $2000 below invoice

2009 RDX AWD - $2000 below invoice (non-TECH), $1000 below invoice TECH Pkg.

2009 MDX AWD - $1100 below invoice (all 5 models)

Still doesn't help the leaser's. AHFC called and gave me a $1500 certificate to reup but with the insanely high .0025 money rate it still doesn't work. When they get real and use a .0012 like on the buy those puppies will start rolling off the showroom floors.

Not good enough! They went from a .0016 MF in Dec to a .0025 MF in Jan -Feb while sales tanked! They need to go to a 2.9% = .0012 MF same as they are offering financing to buy. Check out their competition with a less fugly design and the deals are better with similar residuals ie: Lexus, Infiniti and BMW. JMHO!

I got mine for well under invoice (SH-AWD Tech...) it shouldn't be too hard in the Seattle area with all the .layoffs.

i agree, base on the rate their are doing is better to do a buy then lease just because of the mf. i got my 08 tl with .0016 last year and thats why i aint upgrading to tl awd yet. i am just sitting and wait till the mf drop and jump into the new lease later on with more incentive during summer.

Unfortunately my TL lease is up 4/1 and I have to lease. If they stay in their stupid coma for another month I'm outta here. Other foreign manufacturers seem to be more lease friendly these days. I don't understand the philosophy of a low MF for buy but not even a competetive MF for lease in this economy. I'm sure fewer people have big bucks to pony up for a purchase when they can get a decent lease.

Kevin, I am looking to lease now, do you really think the money factor will drop? The price I was quoted was less than invoice for a TL FWD with Tech. One point that bothered me was they said the Tech package depreciates more than the base Tl and the tech tl would depreciate $12,000 while the base tl would depreciate about $10850. I searched the forum and couldn't find this addressed anywhere.

Was told the same thing when I was looking at the RDX and when I got my TSX. The Tech packages depreciate more.

If that is with the tech package and includes taxes then it is a better deal than I was quoted, which was 505/month. MF stands for Money Factor and refers, I believe, to what the interest rate you will be paying on the lease. My understanding is that the MF is how the lease company makes money on the deal. you multiply the money factor by 2400 to get the actual interest rate you are paying. So MF of .0025*2400=6%. Lower the MF better the deal.
Hope that helps

Acura is basically "forcing" purchases because a lease is very risky business for the manufacturer anymore. Just look at how many other manufacturers have totally given it up over the last year.

One last question, was that including taxes? I'm at 483 before taxes, 506 after taxes. Thanks again.
