Acura coffee mug
Has anyone else received their free coffee mug yet? I got this thing in the mail today with no paperwork what so ever? I did not order it or ask for it, it simply showed up? The label on the box said Returns department Acura 1226 N Michael Dr. STE D Wood Dale, IL 60191 It's nice, but I don't drink coffee, anyone want to buy it? LOL.

very nice mug, i would buy it but i don't really use them in general. i found them to be too much of a hassle to bring around with me and i don't drink enough to make one useful.

I just got it last week. There was a tiny piece of paper inside that said "Thank you for your recent purchase from myacura.com"... I got my car in November. The salesmen gave me a plastic mug and key chains at the time of purchase. So I guess this is an added bonus. Those you got it, did you register at myacura.com? I think that's how you get it.

OP- feel free to post a thread in the Black Market regarding the mug. Otherwise, let's keep this thread on topic.

Bought my TL middle of last November; got mugs last week.
They were at the house when I got home the day I had a major discussion about my dissatisfaction with service at my local dealer... thought at first it was some peace offering!

got my 2 mugs today, bought the car in Dec. Now someone run them through the dishwasher and see if they are dishwasher save. I'm not too sure of that from the looks of em. Anyone know what the body of the mugs are made from (metal?)

Our dealer gave us two of them when we took delivery of the car, along with a high-dollar golf shirt. However, ours are a funky copper color.
BTW, I've seen other aluminum mugs like these at Wal-Mart for $3 that er actually better - the lids screw on rather than being a press fit, and they aren't as likely to leak around the lid. But the ones we got do keep the coffee hot.
I prefer styrofoam, though - when you're through you just chuck it - these you have to wash.

Acura has been sending out mugs/wine glasses this past year as part of an ownership campaign. I remember reading about this earlier in the year, we received the packet of information on how the program was to work but I don't remember the specifics. Acura plans to keep in touch with owners throughout a 3-5 year period hoping to retain repeat business.
It looked like a pretty cool program but they only had so many gifts to mail out, I think they will be sending out different items throughout the program.
