I know that the 3g tl's came with the acura branded calipers. However I'm wondering if the 4g's also have them available? They always gave the car a little extra to the look. Thanks in advance

You won't be able to find an OEM accessory part. But you could probably modify yourself.

Thanks, trying to stay away from self mods. Was looking just for a simple swap. Oh well the tl is and always will be a good looking car

^ cost. Those brakes were made by Brembo. Same thing with the demise of bi-xenon headlamps.

Honestly the 4g still stops better then the 3g. It has a bigger brake system overall compared to the 3g, so your not missing much besides the eye candy if you want to look at it in that way. I always disliked the fact acura didnt go the complete package brembo front and rear for the 3g's... oh well..

Like you said, the AT counter parts without the brembo package stops SHORTER than with Brembo's.


Remember fellas, BBK's are only for BRAKE FADE. and not stopping distances.

and no sir, Brembos are only for brake fade.
the Automatic 3G TL's without brembos STOP SHORTER!!!!!

where the brembos shine is on a track with REPEATED STOPS, the brembos will dissipate heat better with the larger rotor.

You can go get the new ones from Rotora they look cool and designed for the 4G ... not sure if you have to upgrade your rim size or not though.

I saw them on a current gen RL a few days ago. They looked nice. I wish Acura had put them on the 4G TL too.
