Acura 4G TL Grigio or Polished Metal

Thinking about getting a 4G SH-AWD Tech in a few days, and cant decide between Grigio or Polished Metal. Interior is set at Ebony or Taupe and 'am cool with both.

Local dealer doesnt have too many left and Black on Black is another option but want to try something different.

Please throw in your valuable recommendations.

I'd go with Polished Metal Metallic w/ ebony.

I got White Diamon Pearl w/ ebony, but IF i were to pick another color, PMM would be it.

In the day (sunlight) it looks pretty much grey.

When it gets darker, you can see a slight dark/metallic grey with a hint of blue or teal

When it's even darker out, the dark greyish teal begins to show subtly. It's a very unique color, sometimes I wish I got that instead.

I personally like the Polished Metal with the Taupe interior. I don't like black at all for interior or exterior. Just my opinion.

Both are nice but Grigio is more unusual! It's a very unique Acura color, and so personally I would go with Grigio.

The Grigio seems to have a warmer hue to it, making it more elegant than PMM.

I was stuck between the PMM and Grigio on my TSX as well but when I saw them side by side in different light, the Grigio won out...it's just such a neat color, and it's dark enough but not too dark (my last car was black and I vowed to never do that again LOL). There are a few other Acura drivers where I work so I get to see PMM TLs and TSXs on a regular basis, and the color is just too light and a little dull IMO; I am very happy w/ my choice.

FYI Acura discontinued both the Grigio and the PMM for the '11 TSX and will now only have "Graphite Luster Metallic". I'm guessing it will be a mixture of PMM and Grigio, and I am wondering if they'll go the same route for the '12 TL?

Both are nice, but I would probably have to go with PMM.

After talking with the guy who provides car care for my TL SH-AWD...Grigio/Umber...while claybaring my car he pointed out somethings about Acura paint jobs and caring for them. Grigio was tops while WDP was not particularly the worst but not near the top. This is from a guy who washes and waxes them on the regular at an Acura dealership for 3 years. With that said he told me I picked a great color combo...

I was torn between Grigio and Polished Metal Metallic, too. I really like Grigio because it seems to look different in different lighting conditions. In bright sunlight Grigio glows with a faint reddish brown (as in "pinot grigio" wine) mixed with the predominantly dark gray cast, whereas in overcast or showroom lighting it has more of a toasted sesame grayish tone. As cjTL says, Grigio is an elegant color.

I ended up with my 2nd choice PMM because the dealer with the best price had it in stock but not the Grigio back in June. The sales manager offered his personal opinion that Grigio is too brown, saying it is not a popular color and thus it would hinder resale. I don't know if that's true, but I have no plans to resell and intend to keep the car at least 10 years.

Anyway, 5 months and 7,000 miles later, I'm very happy with PMM and still think it's an attractive color. I'm starting to see more PMM TLs in the Boston area and extremely few Grigios.

I bought the Grigio and as I was leaving the dealer, I saw the black, went back in and changed it to the black/black. Never regretted it.

CBP is beautiful when clean, and I think it sets off the stainless steel accents and silver trim nicely.

But, of course, black cars are a bear to keep nice looking.

Go with Grigio, it's a headturner compared to PMM. My wife has a Polished Metal '10 Accord (yes, I know it is not the exact same color) and she gets upset because it seems like so many accords on the road have that color. Then when we see a TL with PMM, it's the same effect, but one day, we were eating at an outdoor restaurant and I told her to turn and look quick, because a Grigio TL was driving by and her exact response was "ooohhh, why didn't you get that color?!"

I would have to go with Grigio. I have PMM, there is a guy at work who has Grigio. From time to time we end up parking next to each other. Hate to admit it but his just looks better, espicially when it is clean.

Don't get me wrong, both colors look GREAT.... but this might sound snobbish.... I hope it does not come out too wrong.... you can only get Grigio with an Acura. However, you can get PMM with Honda, e.g. Accord.... you see what I mean? I am sorry if I have offended anyone....!

Wow I saw a car like this today on the freeway. Could not figure out what color it was. It was like three different colors. The first time I looked at it, it looked dark gray. But I saw it again and it looked blue and when it exited the freeway it looked green. I went to Acura's website to see if I could find the color but couldn't reconcile what they have with what I saw. Thanks for the description. Now I know.

Ok here is what happened. Analyzed all colors for days ( PMM, Grigio and CBP). Finally picked CBP because local dealer did not have Grigio sh-awd and could not get one from any nearby dealer as well. So I now have a Black on Black sh-awd with tech pkg and ready to perform the grill mod first.

LOL after all of that you ended up with the CBP. Congrats on the purchase.

I must say the Grigio in the proper light has a nice letallic flake to it, but in dull or night light it looks very dark and bland. I personally hated ebony interiors until I actually finally had one and woudl never go with anything else it hides wear and dirt far better than lighter interiors.

Grigio and PMM are great colors. You wont believe how much back and forth we did at the dealership. It was just plain confusing but what can you do? I mean once you drive it home there is no undo.

I just purchased two weeks ago a 2011 TL Tech in Grigio with a Taupe interior. So, far I'm pleased with the color combo. The dealer had a PMM as well with the black interior, but I liked the Taupe interior of the Grigio better. I had a 2001 CL that was all black inside and out. It was a great looking car, but required a lot of time just to keep it looking nice. I swore I would never own a black car again. Well, thats not entirely true. I own a 1956 Continental Mark II that is black. Since it's a toy, it stays clean.

Don't know what car you are looking at. Just was in the Richmond, VA area and my car was swarmed by folks oogling at the color...Grigio. The metallic flakes create crazy color variations.

My taste exactly...just bought that today. I had a great three year run with my carbon bronze TL-S, but the new features and redesign was just too much - plus they made a DEAL on a 2010 Tech package.

My wife just got the basque red, and it's beautiful too.

Utterly wicked combination....went to a holiday event and their were 2 WDP 4G TL's and 3 CBP, I got complimented on my color combination choice, it just happened to be on the lot when I went looking, they liked how the color looked in the street lights and moonlight. And they asked how did I get those 19" rims.
