6MT Car Starter

Has anyone with the 6MT installed a remote car starter? Idatalink just came out with a bypass for the smart key, push-button start and manual trans on Oct.20th but I could not get it to work. Has anyone else successfully used that bypass or any other bypass for the alarm/starter combo.

thanks!

Do you mind if I ask what the symptoms are? What the problems are that you are having, exactly?

I am not interested, personally, in a remote start. But I am curious how they designed it because the brain of the 6-6 is very different. I'm having trouble understanding how they thought that they could get the Acura remote start to interface with it...because the address that the remote start is looking for does not exist in the 6-6's computer.

Thank you for your reply George!

The remote start unit that the installer was attempting to install was an aftermarket unit rather than the Acura OEM remote starter.
The software for the idatalink bypass (Multi or blade) is supposed to be updated for the MT as of October 20th but the car isnt learning and accepting the bypass (light stays red). The light went green once meaning it had learned the bypass but then the car would just die out shortly after starting or wouldnt turn over...
