50,000 Mile Warranty about to expire 2010 SH-AWD..what should I ask dealer to inspect

Hi guys

The 50,000 Mile Acura Warranty is about to expire on my 2010 SH-AWD Tech.
I would like to get as much out of Acura as possible before the warranty expires so I am taking it in for a comprehensive review by local Acura Service.

In addition to the normal recommended maintenance items and recalls what other things should I ask them to check based on others experiences after the warranty expires?

In general my car has been running fairly well.
Although gas mileage is not as great as I would like
The car is a bit sluggish to the point of no power transfer sometimes when I make sharp right turns…not sure if it’s a differential issue or if it’s a standard design issue with the AWD.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks gents!

Do you have any cabin rattles or other sorts of minor issues that you've perhaps have gotten used to?

On my 2012 TL I had an annoying rattle coming from the back area that took me a while to identify. I brought it into Acura and they didn't find anything. Then I brought it to another Acura and they found a TSB for it and fixed it (TSB 11-024). I still heard the rattling but I found another TSB and I brought it in for that one (TSB 11-025) in which I actually printed the TSB for them. Now I have no rattle.

Go through this list and see if any of these TSB's might apply to your car.

I think I potentially have TSB 10-014 as well but I have to find time to go in again.

If you want to do an inspection, I would recommend you not go to the dealer. The dealer would much rather have you come in after your warranty is over. From my understanding, for warranty work, they provide a discount to Acura. Hence, it would be more money in their pockets if the car is out of warranty for the same work. My speculation is that they will not find much or just half ass it.

If anything, find a indy shop to look over your car. Whatever they find wrong, you can then take it to the dealer to have the warranty repairs done.

When I go to this web page and click on a link, I get a message that says I do not have authorization. How do I see the TSBs in these links? I tried to follow the instructions at the top of the linked thread, but I still can't get access to the TSB pages.

Thanks,

Gregg

^its not a issue with you, as I cant view them either.

its an issue with the links, something must have changed on the web builder's part and we need access again.

You need to follow the points in red on the post in order to gain access to them.
Click on that link that you see, select any car model, and then open up one of the links (any of them).

Once you do that, you'll be able to open the TSBs. You'll need to enable cookies on your browser for this to work.

Afterwards, you should be able to open/download all the TSBs which are all official PDFs.

make sure your indicators lever that controls the lights are working properly i.e when signaling left or right the lever should stay in place and not bounce back until you made made the turn and or on a straight path, and if you should have to hold it down while signaling then it needs to be replaced which would be covered by warranty without warranty it would be around $200.. i believe, learned this when I got my tl and started going through the problem and fixes thread from pages 1 to < where ever the page number is now it takes time but worth it you'll find stuff others have experience its like looking in the future

Make sure you know where the gas door is and how to open it. Otherwise, ...

That was actually meant to be in this thread and that's why it makes no sense here.
