CONCEPT CUSTOMER

the target buyer for the TL is expected to be a professional male in his mid 40s with a household income of about $100,000 per year, while the expected TL SH-AWD® target buyer is a professional male in his early 40s with a household income of over $150,000 per year.
Well, they have to say that. They don't really want to say something like, Target customer is a well-off boy-racer type who is ready to trade up from a riced-out Integra or a WRX.

I am surprised that they aim it squarely at men. I wonder how BMW and Audi sell across the genders.

Pretty cool so far!
I think it has more to do with the SHAWD people being more into cars and actually coming onto forums posting. most of the old ladies I see driving FWD's (which are the great majority btw) probably aren't here discussing the 4gtl with us.

- It's actually my wife's car, it was her birthday present.
- +$225k income

I test drove an A4, 3 series, G37, CTS, C Class and this Acura was my overall favorite. Best interior and above average everywhere else. The 3rd day we had it I took it to the body shop to get the grille color matched CBP and now it's perfect. Plus, at $36,9xx it was one of the cheapest cars I looked at.

Who typically is out buying cars, when you think about it? Men. Especially the "fun to drive" cars. And manual transmission cars?! haha I love that dealers are consistently surprised when they learn a woman can drive a stick.

They gear minivans towards women. Nice stereotypes, huh?

I don't have a 4G TL, nor do I have an occupation, nor am I married, but I should post one of these threads in the 3G section. That forum is gradually turning into a ricer-land also.

225k income and those are the cars you're looking at? I'm confused.

I am also confused how the target demographic makes 100k to 150k per year... If that's the target I don't want to know what higher luxury brands are aiming for. Where are all these people that makes so much money that allows them to raise car sales?

EDIT: After thinking about this, I guess in a family a combined income over 100,000 to 150,000 would make much more sense, though that still is more than almost anyone I know makes beyond management and up at a large insurance company I used to work for.

Depends on your field of expertise, to be quite honest, and how long you've been in your position. My friends that are "lifers" at their jobs pull in at least $10-15k more than I do ( I couldn't decide what I wanted to do w/ my life the first few years out of college ). If you have two people pulling in between $60k-70k, at the "middle" of a company, that's pretty solid money.

Location too - I make a lot more working closer to Baltimore/Washington than I would if I moved an hour north to Delaware. Odd, but true. Although, I think all the $$ I'm paying for gas lately kind of evens it all out

No actual job, income from investments/stocks.

2012 FWD Tech.

And I'm cheap, if I only made $100k-$150k income, I wouldn't own the TL, I'd still have my Accord.
