4G TL Engineer Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRj-c7a2ksw

I like this video of the '09 TL's Chief Engineer Mark Fulmer as he drives and explain all of the changes from the 3G. He speaks from an engineering standpoint, explaining everything from the use of the EPS to how they achieved the smoothness in the transmission. I will look at my 4G differently now!

No offense Glen but this is an old video, I'm glad you will see it differently but do you know that they have been using the same 5 speed auto tranny for the last 4-5 years some in which the 3G TL has been known to have a few problems with the tranny like blowing out. Just see how it works out after a year and see if the tranny stays intact. I really do hope they id fixed that problem.

OG, I know its an old video but its good see the folks who did the designing explain their intent or mindset during the design. Its also good to understand how they made the car smoothier, quieter, better audio, smoother steering, less stopping fade, etc.
Hopefully they will do better with the manual tranny. If the auto is an indicator they will because I can hardly notice when it shits. Since they went new from the ground up, I bet they will with the manual tranny.

lol. That made my day.

FYI : I have a 3G TL with 108k on the odo and have't had any major problems. Of course now that I've said that my engine bay will probably go up in flames tomorrow as I lock the car.
