You got it, especially when you park it next to a Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus or Infiniti.

I don't hate it or anything, I wouldn't have bought one if I didn't like it, but in no way do I think the TL was "ahead of it's time" or "ahead of the curve". If the 09-11 was so ahead of it's time why did the grill continue to get smaller instead of larger like the 09-11 was? Audi and Lexus grills continue to grow in size because people like them, unlike Acura where everyone always says the same thing "OMG it still have a beak when are they going to get rid of the beak, can someone photoshop it without the beak?".

^^ Have to disagree (styling is all subjective anyway). I left my car in an airport garage. When I returned there was a black E350 parked right next to me (at a respectable distance). I had a chance to compare the two side by side. It was the Mercedes that looked bland and dated and the TL that looked like it had some flair and provoked interest. But to each his own.

I've said this before, I think only the white actually looks good with the original grill (no offense to the others). With black there is just way too much contrast.
Actually I have the white diamond pearl '09 TL SH-AWD and I'm thinking about having the entire grill painted satin black along with the trim around the fog lights. I also plan to have the factory 19s powder-coated in a gloss black......what do you think????

ohhh man... that will be a HUGE change. Do take photos. I have the 2010 WDP... decided I don't want to paint the grille. White with that colour grille doesn't look bad IMO as there isn't much contrast. Black may be over the top. The main reason I don't want to is because the material the grille is made of is prone to paint chipping off as it's a smooth surface.
