Damn that is high. Your payments are still over $400 a month after a down payment of $3700? Wow. I leased my 08 Type-S with $0 down and $399 a month. Hopefully after a few months the lease deals will be a much better offer.

Eh.. He bought an 08 and it looks like he registered within the last couple of weeks [so my assumption is he just got it]; i'm wondering if he was able to negotiate w/ the dealer and AHF since they are trying to clear out the 3Gs and make way for the 4G [no one likes have the previous generation of a vehicle on their lot still brand new!]

$419/month isn't bad for the 4G, but obviously that is the base model. I would prefer the SH-AWD with Tech Package. However, $3699 down is right up there with BMW and Audi.

i leased my 07 type-S in Feb of 2007 for $399/month also... 12k miles and $0 down... at the time, Acura was running at least in the Tri-State Area $369 for the TL and $399 for the type-S. I believe they re-ran that promotion a few months ago.

$419 / month is VERY expensive for a base model.... it may be a competitive price when u compare the lease to it's competition, but it is NO LONGER a bargain....
and $419 for those hideous base model wheels? ugh! gross.

About two days before they said the lowest they would go was 415 a month. The next Saturday morning I showed up with everything I needed and said if they gave me the car with payments at $400 a month, I would sign the papers. It took the guy about 20 mins talking to his manager. Sure enough he came back and we did the deal. They already knew I was approved becuase I had filled out the paper work about two weeks prior when I started working the deal.
Also just to let you guys know, I bought the car the first Saturday in May. So I've had it for a few months.

As another member posted a little bit ago, Acura had a promotion running at one time for the deal. At first I believe the deal was 429 a month, but after about two weeks working the dealer and going back forth to two Acura dealers here in the area, I was finally able to get one dealership to give me a brand new 08 Type-S with 0 down, 15k miles a year, for 399.95 a month.

Don't mind at all. Columbia Acura. They are located in Northern Cincinnati. It's just south of Mason, Ohio actually. Right off interstate 71. Very easy to find.
Here is the link to the dealership as well: Columbia Acura

Now days, esp. with the bank crisis, unless you have excellent credit, getting a good deal on a car lease is virtually impossible. If you purchase a vehicle with cash, then it's a whole different matter.
