Wanted to make a thread where people can post their 0-60 times and/or kills (or losses).

Disclaimer: I do not condone excessive speeding and racing around in a 4k lb lux car. Obviously you shouldn't clock a 0-60 in an area where to posted speed limit is <60. With that said, act at your own risk please.

Format:

Vehicle Year / Model / package:
0-60 mph:
Method of time calculation:
Performance mods / tires:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Random Internet posted 0-60 times:

Base:
5.4, 6.0, 6.3

AWD:
5.4, 5.5, 5.7, 6.0

AWD MT:
5.0, 5.2, 5.3

2012 Curb weight (per Acura.com)

  • 3,726 (1690): TL
  • 3,741 (1697): TL w/ Technology Package
  • 3,770 (1710): TL w/ Advance Package
  • 3,968 (1800): TL SH-AWD
  • 3,982 (1806): TL SH-AWD w/ Technology Package
  • 3,858 (1759): TL SH-AWD MT w/ Technology Package
  • 4,001 (1815): TL SH-AWD w/ Advance Package
2009-2011 Curb weight (Rough est from internet sites)

3,699 lb (1,678 kg) (Base)

3,948 lb (1,791 kg) (SH-AWD)

Vehicle Year / Model / package: '12 AWD Tech
0-60 mph: 5.892 TC off
Method of time calculation: Stop Watch
Performance mods / tires: None / Stock

0-60 was done starting from a stop turning onto a main road. It's a 90deg turn, but I was facing more like 45deg in anticipation. Was not a straight shot, but wanted to get the forum started.

0-60 Kills / Loss vs a friend:

2008 Mustang GT - To close to call Neck and Neck...Pulled off the line in AWD...He would most likely taken me in 3rd gear. We did not exceed 60mph due to posted speed limits so no other info.
2013 Kia Optima Turbo - No recorded time...won by a few car lengths w/ np

For the SH-AWD cars, you should also note AT vs. MT since there's a considerable divergence in published times between the two.

Yeah, I guess I expected people to note that. I could have been more specific. I'm really interested to see some times with the 6MT...I'm sure they are pretty good.

I did 2 ore runs last night. I know my reading aren't going to be perfect by using a stop watch, but I tried to be as accurate as I could. Hopefully no more than a .5sec difference.

5.48 and 5.39 holding the rev's at about 3k and launching. AWD does a nice job preventing the tire spin. Hardly got a chirp while holding the 3k w/ the stock tires.

I was really into the mustangs and camaro's, but wanted to settle with the luxury in the same price range. Check this video of the v6 mustang 0-60 in 6.7!?

My brochure from the dealer listed the v6 at 5.4. I only drove the V8, but I think i'd give it more credit than 6.7. Perhaps somewhat due to the countdown time vs auto starting, but still a 1.3 sec gap is rather large. They really stepped it up with the 5.0. Good looking fast car. No disrespect to the Mustang in this post.
