In general, using a car with a conventional auto trans for HPDE is a bad idea.

In the TL's case, you'll be tracking a 3900+LB car with absolutely no intent to be a track model.

As I said in your original thread...see what over heats and then fix that issue. Your trans will almost for sure overheat. You can fix it with a trans cooler or something. AWD system will also probably overheat, regardless of trans.

It's easier to HPDE this car in manual trim. A manual trans (in this case) will also probably overheat, to some lesser degree. But you can mitigate it with fluid.

You want to HPDE a 3900+LB car with a massively complicated and inefficient AWD system. You're gonna be fighting heat at every end of the car. Coolant, oils, brakes, tires, all are gonna overheat.

The more power you add, the more heat you'll be fighting.

You're gonna spend a lot of effort fighting heat. That's the takeaway.

Not impossible, though. Just takes effort and cunning. Good luck.

alright so it's looking like hpde is out for this car without a ton of cash. Still mod it though just for my own satisfaction lol

I mean....try HPDE and see what happens. Maybe I'm wrong asf.

You also don't have to go 600% all day. Slowing down to let the car cool off is free. But not fun.

You can fix the issues in slow progression.

There's not much in terms of off the shelf "performance" mods for this car, though, just FYI.

Simple stuff like an exhaust and maybe some suspension, wheels and tires would probably make it more fun. K tuner for tuning. But...either way, you're spending money....not like mods are free lol
