2013 TL-Elite How long can you run the radio on Aux?

3hrs....Not enough power to start, original battery so 4 years old now..no problems otherwise. Recovered well after a boost and 15min of idle could start on it's own. Is it just the amp boosters that suck a lot of juice? or is it a sign to replace the battery?

original acura batteries suck. surprised you got 4 years out of it!
yes, you should get a new battery because...batteries tend to last 3-4 years on average.

also, modern cars have many electronics that feed on the battery. ACC + listening to music will kill your battery as you found out in 3hours

Should have started the car and let the alternator charge up the battery a bit during those 3 hours..I don't think any car could sit for 3 hours with the radio on and not drain the battery.

Would you guys still recommend replacing even with no other indications it's dying? No hesitation at start up whatsoever.

I would throw it on a charger or battery tender and keep an eye out

The car will let you know if the battery has a permanent issue, you will start to get "Replace battery soon" indicator lights on your MID. If you recharged the battery and have been driving and not seen that warning come on after start up I'm betting you'll be fine.

Im still running on stock battery on my 2012 and was thinking of changing it before winter arrives since winter in Canada are battery killer. Would you have any suggestion on a good battery?
