I love my TL, I had a 09 in WDP FWD tech when the 4G 1st came out. What got me is the way the car looks, there was nothing on the road like it. Loved it so much I upgrade to a 2012 AWD tech advance and coudnt be happier.

Not sure if this is a good reason:
6-cyl + manual + AWD = only car on the market...

Audi S4 and BMW 335i have a manual option, but they're much more expensive up front and to maintain. I know Infiniti G3x coupes have the option, not sure about the sedan. I think Acura TL is the best value, especially for long-term performance.

Oh, yeah, sorry, forgot another criteria... mid size, there has to be a reason why I ended up with TL instead of something else . Actually S4 was initially on the list as I already have a Ross-Tech and most of the DIY tools for VAG...sigh...

S4's on my short list too, but lately I'm veering towards the TL.

335i is off the list - with what comes standard on an S4 Premium Plus would have have to be optioned onto a 335i, at which the price is pretty much the same, and it still doesn't have a 7-speed DSG or Quattro.

Infiniti G's been discontinued and the Q50 is having some rather atypical 1st model year issues.

Between the S4 and TL, I find it hard to justify the difference in price, given the differences in performance. Not to mention long-term costs of the S4's V6 - there's several threads on audizine about carbon buildup at 40K miles, sometimes earlier. Gotta pay to play...

Best bang for the buck hands down. I love the styling, performance, AWD, and interior as well as reliability.

Interior/exterior styling drew me in. I owned a 3G when the 4G was released, transition was easy since the 4G was an improvement in every aspect. Upgraded from an 09' to 12' out of necessity.

IMO the 4G package is exceptional.

I went from an '09 SH-AWD "premium" to a '13 SH-AWD 6MT. Everything I wanted. The tech pack, the AWD and it's a 6 speed. It was also bigger and cheaper than the competition. It was a brand new car or a used S5. The BMW I also considered but didn't like how the AWD version looked.

I have a 2011 TL SH-AWD; the overall package is hard to beat. If you have a change take it to a track for a day or so, you understand how much your TL has to offer.
Btw. I think the body style is quite unique without taking anything away from comfort and drivability, to many cars look alike which makes life boring. Can you imagine only blondes with blue eyes and ...... nothing wrong with that. Hence, brunettes etc. making life more exciting I believe.
And always, always drive safe

Bought my 2013 TL Tech AWD last July and I absolutely love it! Some complain that the car is too big, but that's precisely what I love about it. No better way to have a sports sedan that's as reliable as an Accord, can hold a family of four SAFELY, and perform better than most cars on the road. The combination of power, handling, reliability, refinement, and value is unbeatable.

Love the styling, too! No buyer's remorse whatsoever (except when I have to fuel up with Premium gas). After having been bit by buying other cars their first (or second) model year (2005 Subaru Outback XT Turbo, 2011 Prius, 1999.5 Jetta VR6), I found it quite refreshing to buy the TL after the mid model refresh and having all the bugs worked out.

The only gripe... a creak in the plastic of the center console when I go over bumps. Otherwise, the car is flawless (10k miles).

I have a '13 Acura TL SH-AWD w/ Tech Pack In Black
I have always been a Honda/Acura Fan. It got me so excited after hearing that they are finally going to come out with a TT TLX GT soon. I cant wait. Finally, a car to compete with all the other TT cars from other companies.
