I am curious if anyone knows if 2012 TL taillights will work on my 2011 TL? I have been trying to find black out taillights but they are all discontinued with DEPO. I am finding all red tails on Ebay and Amazon but they are for a 2012. all the mounting bolts and connections look the same. any input would be appreciated.

 

I know 100 percent that headlights are interchangeable between all years so I'm quite confident tail lights are as well.

 

It should be the same.


I am tempted to convert 2011 to 2012 because they look a bit different.

 

same, I was thinking about doing my own mod and cutting a set open to paint the inner trim. I guess we will see.

 

Mod your own. Most important is to make sure the Paint cures before re assembly. If you don't the off gassing will ruin the clear Plastic Lens.

There are a number of Mods on there to go through if you have time but the Modded rear lights start from Post #691 on Page 18 and go on.
