TL > A4 any day.

I've been at the Audi dealer all week... Unfortunately, I am trading in the TL... I was looking at S4, but decided to go with the new A6

in terms of reliability, i am a little nervous too... Audi's have earned a bad rep over the years, and I have had multiple Acura's, without any reliability issues... I am crossing my fingers that my Audi will be ok

BLACKURA_NY, make sure you also buy the longest extended factory warranty available if you plan to keep the A6 for longer than 4 years.

You won't regret this choice 4-7 years down the road.

I would not touch a German car again but that is just me. Have a friend who has a 2012 AWD TL and 2011 A4 Quattro. Money is no issue there and his wife just wanted another A4 but he says there is no comparison.

^^ i can't keep a car for more than 2 years lol

BUT, depending on how the car holds up reliability wise, i may keep it longer. its such an incredible looking, technology packed car. 8spd Auto, supercharged AWD and 28MPGs

Then you'll be ok buying any European vehicles that have not so great reliability reputations.

I test drove the A4 before I bought my TL and did not like it all - I had a good hour with the A4 on all kinds of roads.

To be honest I like my new TL better than the A4 but I think it comes down to personal preference - hard to explain but the A4 didn't feel "as tight" on the road and felt "loose" in the steering. Also, the interior of the A4 seemed cheap IMO.

I agree it comes down to personal preference. Were you comparing the AWD TL with the Quattro A4?

Personally I felt the TL had looser steering with more of a dead feeling, although around corners at higher speeds the TL was awesome.

I still don't know what to decide - just soaking in lots of information and trying not to be "that guy" going on a 4th and 5th test drive of the same 2 cars.

Since nobody here stepped up yet let me be the first to say Congrats on the new car. You need to post a picture.

Welcome to the Dark Side

No you don't. If anyone is interested they can go to the Audi forum.
Good luck of course, but buying a new car is not particularly something of congratulations. Credit is easy, cash is king!

Your kidding right? Reads like a major case of Tier 1 envy. Even the Jerseylicious hair dressers have moved up

But Acura is also an overpriced Honda. I have owned Honda/Acura cars ever since I learned how to drive, but you can't pay me to drive the new TL. Until they get rid of the metal beak nose and cartoonish rear end, no more new Acuras for me, no matter how nice they may be mechanically.

Eureka. You broke the code, now I understand why you see so many of them in upscale neighborhoods'.

A guy who has been a mainstay of the Acurazine TL for a number of years gets a new upscale car all all you guys can do is try to p**s in his cereal.

Maybe you all should show a little class & just say congratulations on your new car like you do when someone buys a TL.

It was all cool till some bitch came in and took a dump in the middle of the floor.

Low self esteem your own class, girly who needs to post thousand of times on a ride they don't even own.

See a lot of those rides in Paterson too bitch. Let's take a ride to Newark and I show you all my friends who have cars. Maybe I should just start congratulating them too.

Don't get me wrong, I love bitches.

Last time I was in Newark was the summer of 1967. Remember making a right turn into this project court while driving a M-113 APC to flush some bad boys. Hope the city has improved some since then.

Saw your partout thread - but didn't know what you were going to get. Congrats on the A6 - It's such a sweet looking ride. I've been torn between the S4 or A6 - Acura has abandoned enthusiasts with their inability to go FI on any of their cars. If the A6 had a 6MT, I'd be all over it.

It's an automobile forum - we're here to discuss cars. Allon has been a major contributor to the AZ community for years - we congratulate our fellow AZ friends on new rides, no matter what they choose.

Relax - remember - this is an automobile forum we're here because we are auto enthusiasts that like talking about cars (Including but not limited to Acuras).

If you have something beneficial to contribute to the thread then by all means do so. Let's keep things civil and stop with the personal attacks.

I agree- the TL over an A4 (even an S4, imo) is an easy decision. The A6 is on another level though. Good luck finalizing the deal.

I can't agree with you there - the only reason I would say the s4 beats the TL is because you can drop 2-3k into the s4 and it will turn into a beast - you would need to drop 5K-10K in the TL to do the same...

Based on a few test drives I thought that the A4 was a little more nimble around town. I also thought the Nav system and bluetooth voice recognition on the TL were overly complicated, but that could be because my salesperson had no clue how to operate them (never a good sign).

Anyone out there have any experience with 2009+ Audi A4's that can help give me some perspective?

Thanks in advance for helping out a new guy to these forums.
WOW, did this thread get sidetracked.

I sent you a Personal Message and hopefully it helps clear up some of the misconceptions in here.

Good luck with your purchase as you cant go wrong with either vehicle.
