2012 TL 3.5 0w-20 oil?

I know the recommended oil for the '12 TL (3.5L) is 0w-20. That is not a common weight... especially in conventional. I was told that the car was factory filled w/ conventional. What is everybody using in their '12 TL (3.5L)?

0w-20 is only recommended to meet CAFE regulations.

5w-30 if you live in a warm climate.

i believe this is the factory fill oil for the TL (0w-20). is this a good oil?

^what have you been using in your previous cars?

0w-20 is only recommended in order to meet CAFE regulations.

Pure conventional oil doesn't go that far down to the 0w20 weight.

Only synthetic-blend and full-synthetic oils can achieve the 0w20 weight.

I've been using 5W-30 in my wife's 2010 TL SH-AWD 3.7 since new and no probems just shy of 21,000 miles. I do have the oil changed every 3,000-4,000 miles or at 60%.

the 2012 3.5 have some friction reducing components to help increase mpg and also changed over to the 0w-20 oil.

previous, i had a BMW and used synthethic BMW oil (castrol). ON my S2000, I use Castrol conventional but change it often.
