Question 2012 Manual TL with Advance package?

I'm going to be in the market soon, and I LOVE what they've done with the 2012 TL. I really want a manual SH-AWD ... but I really want ventilated seats. Has anyone heard any news on this at all? Maybe for 2013 model?

Does anyone know why it's not currently offered? It doesn't seem like anything in the package would conflict ... so it doesn't make sense to me. I was thinking of writing to someone at Acura haha ... I don't really care about blind spot monitoring, but living in AZ I'd gladly pay almost full Advance price for just the ventilated seats alone...

I was in Az over the summer and rented a car with ventilated seats. I was underimpressed with the function they were supposed to perform and didn't use them even though the temp approached 115.

I think they may have more relevance on the east coast when then temp is 100 and the humidity is 100.

As it stands now, I would not pay for ventilated seats. YMMV.

Good for you.. as the other guy asked, what car did you rent? We know it wasn't a TL since you've admitted to never driving a 4g.

I have the advanced package and QUITE ENJOY the vented seats. They DO make a difference as others here have also mentioned liking the feature.

Also, OP, you would like the BSI once you drive the car with them, I do believe

See post above. I don't know why but they annoyed me after the first three minutes.

I also like the ventilated seats and BSI, my previous Acura lacked both and they are a welcome addition. The only option that I wish the 2012 TL Advance also offered ... Adaptive Cruise Control.

IMO, it isn't quite fair to compare a GM product to an Acura. The systems most likely function in a different manner. I know the reliability isn't the same AND the leather in the Acura is much softer and more natural.

I didn't get the adaptive cruise control. Somewhere I had to look at feature/funtion. I barely use the cruise control as it is. I do wish though I could get the rain sensing wipers without having to get the adaptive cruise control. That should be standard in another package.

I was in the same position as you. I hate acura for having to make me choose between manual trans and ventilated seats

I have never had a car with ventilated seats, and I test drove 20+ different cars before getting the TL. I didn't get the advanced package so no vented seats for me. However, even with the 100+ degree weather in Oklahoma, I didn't feel as though I missed out on anything. The TL A/C worked very well and even though I sweat easily, I didn't feel as though I needed the ventilated seats.
Its probably just a matter of which is more important to you. Do an extended test drive with both and see for yourself which feature you can live without.

I get "annoyed" at you for posting negative info about the TL when I know you haven't had first hand experience. IMO< to give an opinion about a product, one should have used that product... I dunno, maybe I am just seeing it all wrong.

You really need to chillax and stop getting so defensive. It's a forum. He's giving an opinion. Your entitled to yours as well.

Just hope that if you are a passenger in rear seat of the TL with the ventilated seats that the front seat occupants dont fart. The fans "pull" the air away from the body and direct it down and out towards the rear

Fine, whatever... if you think that's A-Okay.. then fine....

I rented a CTS once, so I can't recommend anyone buying an Infiniti!

Is adaptive cruise going to be offered on the SH-AWD?
