Question 2012-2013 New Owner's Welcome Packet?

So when I signed the leasing papers on 11/15 for my 2012 TL, I was told Acura Financial will be sending me a welcome packet in the mail that will include information on when my first payment is due, etc. I checked the mail yesterday and all they sent me was a one page letter advising me that they changed my servicing dealer information. There was an account number on the letter and I used that to sign up at the Acura Financial website. When I logged in had all my financial information loaded with a payment due on 12/15. I was so glad I logged in and checked as I was waiting on my welcome packet that contained that information.

I looked up the FAQs on the website and the welcome packet was said to be delivered at least two weeks before the first month's payment, in which it is past that point as my first payment is due on 12/15. I have a strong feeling it ended up in someone else's mailbox as that happens A LOT where I live. So when I was logged in, I changed my billing address so that the mail goes to the PO Box that I have as I my mail always comes there without a hitch.

So my question is, when you were approved through Acura Financial, did you receive a welcome packet? And if so, what kinds of items did it contain? I am wondering if I need to call AFS and request a resend.

I also setup autopay online but they said it takes awhile to get through the system so I think 12/15's payment will have be done manually.

Thanks in advance!

I did get some letter week before my first payment was due, used account number to create online access but don't remember getting any welcome packets.

Okay thank you both. It appears that the dealer may have overly exaggerated. Wouldn't pass it by them.

Thank you Optimus Prime. So there is still the possibility that it got lost in the mail. I wait for some more responses and give AFS a call tomorrow. Thanks.

Takes a while to get autopay setup you may have to mail in or e pay the first one or two. You do have a 10 day grace period on payments. Acura communication is weak.

Thank you for the information. I had no idea there was a grace period. On the Acura site it just said that if your payment is late, you may be charged a late fee. I am assuming they don't want the grace period advertised. Great info. Thanks again.

Final Update: I was supposed to receive something else. I didn't have time to call AFS yesterday but they sent me an email that said I had new correspondence and to click the link. Went into my online account and under correspondence, there was an Easy Pay letter and a welcome letter that when read, stated that I please review the additional information that came with the letter, which was not available in the online version. So they did send me something for sure. So it did get lost in the mail!
