Kirkland 24F AGM which is apparently just a rebranded Energizer.

I like the (24F) EverStart Maxx made by Johnson Controls...available at WalMart. Great warranty and WM stands behind it no questions asked in my experience.

+1 for EverStart Maxx. I've had one in my TL for years with 0 issues.

Bosch AGM from pepboys, was the cheapest AGM battery and has a great warranty. Don't forget to use coupon codes and save money with buy online and pickup in store.

Unless the 4G TL was designed to tolerate the idiosyncrasies of AGM batteries, I would stick with conventional "wet" batteries.

What are the idiosyncrasies of an AGM battery? I purchased the Advance Auto Parts Autocraft Platinum with a coupon to save a few bucks. I have solid 3 year warranty and 710 CCA.

Google is your friend.

In short, AGM batteries are prone to overchanging which causes chemical degradation. They have some spare chemicals built in to replace what is lost from overcharging, but that only goes so far. For cars with charging systems designed to be AGM aware, the stop charging once the battery is fully charged, for older cars they do not. For folks with older cars, if you make lots of short trips, AGM batteries can provide a fair amount of service, for those of us with older cars and make exclusively medium to long trips, AGM batteries are not a good idea.

Napa auto parts legend battery. I used to be a generator technician for 10 years, we always used these batteries. They VERY rarely failed. Always had good luck with them.
