Hey everyone!

First post ever to AcuraZine so I have a lot to learn about what goes on here.

I just wanted to know what people are thinking of the new TL in general? I just recently started working at an Acura dealership in Canada and so far people have been having mixed emotions on it...and it all comes from the damn grill.

Not a good time to get into the auto industry I know but atleast I got time to learn while its slow.

Hi Steve; welcome to the nuthouse. Where in Canada are you located? If you look up there is a whole section devoted to each car model Acura makes. Car Talk is a bit more general where everything is accepted and thrown into.

The TSX is getting a V6 this summer and I have had to guess that's going to sell well. Its the best looking car and the best price. I personally really like the new TSX. I think the whole thing looks really good expect the grille but you can paint that and it looks great.

Welcome Steve, you found a great place for all things Acura. Believe me there is no lack of opinion around here about the new TL. Ramble through the stickies, you'll learn a lot. As for me, I love almost everything about the new TL. (I do wish that it had a six or even seven speed transmission...) I like the "nose" and everything about the exterior and the interior...that's why I bought one. God knows I considered lots of other cars. Good luck with the job, enjoy Azine!

Yes, the 4G TL front grille is . However, the rear end is not pretty either.
What takes the 4G TL out of my consideration is the "upsizing" of the car-- it's gotten too large and too heavy for my tastes-- I really didn't want a Lexus ES.

OTOH, putting a V6 in the 2010 TSX is a good move, since the new TSX seems to take over the size/lux-sport sedan market segment of the 3G TL.

I too am new. I have been quietly looking at all the posts for a couple of months and have been very impressed with all the information posted here. I have been wanting to buy the '09 TL since it was reviewed here last Nov. Exactly one week ago, I purchased my first Acura after years of buying Pontiacs. What a difference! Totally happy with my purchase. I have read all the buying experiences here and purchased mine for $34.500 out the door with Pro Pack. I couldn't have done it without looking at this site and seeing all your posts. I live in the Detroit area so I will take all the grief about not buying an "American Car". I looked at a CTS, Infiniti and the rest but bought the TL TECH. I have NOT seen any other Acura's on the road here yet. Everyone that has seen it loves it (and the grille). I went to the Wash/Wax section and gathered info. I immediately washed, clay barred, and waxed it and it looks great. I look forward to watching and learning from all of you.

the new TL isn't the ugliest car, but far from the prettiest. with the discounts going around, it's hard to choose a TL over a 5 series with 20K off (yes I've seen discounts like that).

As somebody said above, V6 TSXs will sell really well. It seems to fix a lot of the problems that the 4G TL has. The grill doesnt seem to bad for the new TSX and if you dont like that, you can probably order the JDM Accord grille.
