That computer is so inaccurate, mine jumps all around. I called acura and the guy said it actually doesn't measure the gas in your tank, it measured it in a different way, I just said okay without really understanding after reasking three times lol.

I think he's referring to the 50,000 miles.

my range has been using "fuzzy math" from the beginning also. At the time of the pic, I had travelled 67 miles with the remaining range. After getting home, having driven 143 miles my range is now showing 483 miles. However, the thread is about my journey towards 200k and beyond.

Well, the OP sure beat me to 62 degrees (and the 50,000 mile marker as well). I'm at 18,000 miles.

Here in Seattle we've had a tough time breaking 55 degrees F. Worst spring on record.

Congratulations. I'm a little over 45,000 miles myself, but with our new Jeep, we've been using that to log some of the miles lately and letting the TL get a breather.

Did you happen to get the brake fluid replaced like Pikes Peak Acura told me to do at 45,000 miles?

no, haven't addressed brake fluid yet. and I don't know why the "B" light hasn't appeared after the 1st service, which was done around the 9000 mile mark.

Wow. I only have 43K on my 2005.

Keep enjoying the TL, and hopefully you pass the 200K more than twice.

No issues with the car at all. Some things you can't avoid (rock chips, have picked up a nail in both the drivers front/rear tires), but having gone the MS-8 route has helped make the miles go by in an environment I can be very happy in. There does appear to be slight oil consumption issue, but nothing that hasn't be reported by others. And, averaging between 9000 to 10000 between services helps keep the maintenance costs in check - and with no unnecessary additional expenses such as using/paying for synthetic oil. Overall ... a typical Acura.

At this rate, you'll reach 200k in about 74 months, or just over six years My cars eight years old and has only 125k.

Happy motoring Might be a bit early to say, but do you see yourself keeping this car for up to 300k?

To be honest, I really hate the fact it's a 4 door. I've been considering a CTS4 Coupe since I drove them last year at Monticello Drivers Club (not the 4 version), and I see MB is finally introducing a Coupe version of the 300 series. Except for the smaller engine in the MB (plus the lack of knowledge as to whether they're even going to offer a 4Matic version) and the lack of a stick in either, this could be my shortest period of ownership for the brand. Then again ... if Obama keeps sticking it to us, this might be my last car for awhile.

I had the 09 tech auto that I purchased right before I deployed came back had it for about 3 months and put 12,000 miles on it. Now I have my 2010 SH-AWD manual and I have had it for 6 months and I am at 18,000 on it. I havent been driving it that much because I want to try and conserve the mileage for right now. lol

How far can these vehicles even go? 100k?200k? more?

My biggest problem with the S5 is the gas guzzler tax on top of everything else. That being said, I think the 5 body is the sexiest coupe out there, and having owned a European spec Coupe Quattro when I lived in England in the late 80's I have always been an Audi fan (if you discount the tapit problems and electrical gremlins). I didn't much care for the redesigned 90 coupe - especially the U.S. version - because it felt much more cramped and was way overpriced compared to the previous generation. However ... I hear they may be coming out with a direct injection 6 in the not too distant future, so there is still hope of filling my AWD needs with a stick-coupe.

Now 17 months of ownership and just hit 10,000 miles. It's great to hear all the miles you guys log on these cars and they are still going strong with no major issues.
This is my first Acura/Honda vehicle and I'm glad of the choice I made so far.

I am past 200K on my 99 TL.
The new TLs should be ok for at least 100K miles ..... hopefully more. Looking at the gas prices these days I doubt people will spend all that gas money to reach 200K.

Wow these 09 and 10 TLs depreciated fast.
The 09s should be available for around 10K in a couple of years considering that they will have additional miles on them then. What a waste ...

They are all about the same. It levels off after the first 5yrs. 4G TL did better in the first year vs 3 series. Otherwise they all loose $3K+ a year.

I95 is where I spend all my miles However, upgrading from an Accord LX to a loaded TL makes it a significantly more comfortable ride. I look forward to putting 100k miles on this car... and then buying a "new" used one!
