If you want OEM you can keep an eye on eBay. Usually plenty of options there for the wheels, then buy the tires at TireRack as mentioned by Edward’TLS. You’ll also need to the TPMS sensors.

Anyone know the bolt pattern yet? I've looked on eBay and see a few listing for 2022 Advance wheels, but none of them have the bolt pattern listed. We know Acura has gone back and forth between 114.3 x 5 and 120 x 5 (with varying offsets) on MDX wheels over the model years, so I'm curious what the 2022 MDX wheel will be...

The 20" 2022 MDX wheels are 20x9, bolt pattern 5x120, and high offset of 55.

Thanks Edward. So they're sticking with 5 x 120. For those scoring at home:

2001 - 2006: 5 x 114.3mm
2007 - 2013: 5 x 120mm
2014 - 2016: 5 x 114.3mm
2017 - 2020: 5 x 120mm
2022: 5 x 120mm

^^^^^

And they are also sticking with a really high positive offset, which virtually eliminates any wheel choice with wide lips.

Hi, I picked up a new 2022 advance for my wife, I took it straight to my wheel guy for some 22's. I also added the lower front and rear bumper trim for a better look getting all the trim blacked out in a few days too.

I can tell you that 12x1.5 does not fit. I just ordered 14x1.5.

Offset information can be found stamped on the inside wheel spoke or inside face of the factory rim.

Or from page 4 of this "2022 Acura MDX 20-Inch Aluminum Wheel" installation instructions as supplied by EE4Life. Link here : https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-mdx-...ctions-992091/

FWIW, the 2022 Honda Pilot, the 2020 MDX and the 2022 MDX share the same basic wheel specs. Same bolt pattern, same bore, same offsets. Tire Rack shows several options for the Pilot for snow tire/wheel combos from 17" to 20" wheels. Same options as for the 2020 MDX. One caveat, the new MDX has front brake disks that are 1.2" larger than the outgoing MDX or the Pilot. I would not want to take a chance on the fit of the 17" wheel option or probably the 18" option either. However, the 19 and 20" options should fit just fine.

Just as follow-up, there is a Canadian company RWSwheels.com that has 18 to 21" wheels that they say fit the 2022 MDX. I haven't found an American dealer yet although I haven't spent much time looking either. 18" with 245/60-18 tire would seem like a nice snow tire/wheel combo.

That is exactly the winter tire and wheel combo I went with. The company is RWC wheels. 18 inch wheel and 245/60R18 Michelin Xice Snow tire.

Sweet! I've been running the previous version X-Ice XI2's on my RDX and have been very pleased with them.. I have read that the newer X Ice Snow is even better. My MDX is supposed to be built next week and I should have it by the end of the month. Get the new snows/wheels mounted and I'm off to Idaho!

Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier, but tires and wheels are made to International Standards Organization (ISO) standards. For example, a 255/50R-20 tire is made to ISO standard. (ISO-4000-1) That is a 255mm tread width, a 50% aspect ration (the ratio of the depth of the tire to its tread width), R for radial and 20 refers to the wheel diameter in inches. We all know that any 255/50R-20 tire will fit on the 20" wheels that come with most MDX's because the standard insures that the tire and, more importantly, the bead will mate properly with our wheels regardless of the tire manufacturer, the type of tire, the tread pattern or the rubber compound. Wheels are made to a second ISO standard (ISO-4000-2) which insures that the bead will properly mate with the rim and that the geometry of the wheels is consistent. Thus, all 20x9 wheels with the same bolt pattern, bore, and offset should be interchangeable. Thanks to andre12dbsi we now know that an 18" wheel does fit over the brakes and rotors on the new MDX's. Therefore, I will be placing an order with Tire Rack for a set of snow tires and wheels using the 2020 MDX as my guide. (18x8.5 wheels, 5x120 bolt pattern, 45mm offset with 245/60R-18 tires) I'll let you know if it doesn't work, but that should open up the availability of snow tire/wheel combos for the new MDX's.

Picked up my new MDX on Saturday! Snow tires and wheels are on order. It looks like there's about a half inch of clearance for the brakes using an 18" wheel. As soon as the new tires/wheels get here. I'll check the fit and let you know if there are any issues.

Received the new snow tires/wheels from Tire Rack this morning. Ended up with a set of 18x9 wheels and a wider 255/60-18 tire to fit the 9" wide wheel. Put the right front tire on to verify the fit and couldn't find any issues. I can fit my fingers between the brakes and the wheel and no rubbing issues stop to stop. Tire Rack may be behind the curve, but it looks like an 18" or larger wheel/snow tire combo does work. I would seriously doubt that a 17" wheel would clear the brakes. I'll try to remember to bring my IPad in when I put the snows on for real and get some photos.

Tires/rims

Hi everyone. I have 245/60 R18 Blizzaks on 18x8 5x120 rims from 2020 MDX And my new 2022 MDX is arriving next week. Is the 18 X8 going to allow enough room for the brakes or do I need to buy 18 x 9 rims? Thanks in advance.

The 18 x 8 wheels should work just fine. Andre12dbsi is running the 18" wheels on his. Don't know whether he has the 8' or 8.5" wide wheels. I got the 18 x 9" wheels because Tire Rack had a great deal on them. The 18" wheels clear the brakes by about 1/2" and even with the wider wheels I have no issues with rubbing anywhere lock to lock. You should be good to go!

Would you mind sending some more pictures of your black mdx a-spec. I just got my mdx and I am trying to decide if I should buy bigger wheels. Thx

Sorry ABARMDX, it’s winter here and I put the stock rims on with winter tires.
I can tell you that these RF rims were worth every penny. The stock stamped rims are horrible looking on the black MDX.
The offset on the RF rims brings the tire out to the fender a little more, the 265/40 R22’s are slightly wider than stock and it looks sharp from behind. 22” is definitely the size to go
My wife loves them, and she’s the kind of person who doesn’t care about something like that. She wasn’t impressed when the winter wheels went on.
with.
