Can Scratches Be Removed From Dash Gloss Black?

I have noticed some slight scratches on the ‘piano black’ trim in the passenger dash area. It looks like something brushed against it as they are not deep, just optical imperfections. Does anyone know how to polish them out? I suspect this is going to be a constant problem.

the issue is; you might get the scratches out but cant get the piano finish back.

remember; the first cut is the deepest. it's just a car.

“It’s just a car” I hope this isn’t the attitude of Acura! I’m looking for helpful solutions.

without spending thousands of dollars to get the dash replaced, you can try to polish out the scratches...however, you most likely will not get the piano black finish back...
so choose your poison...

try to attempt polishing it out and possibly making it worse?
Spend a few grand replacing the dash?

or live with it.

I hope there is someone that has had success restoring the piano black finish. If it is that fragile and cannot be refinished then why in the world would Acura choose to put it in such a vulnerable location? Makes me think they chose something that would only look good in the showroom but would not stand the test of time like the rest of the vehicle. Hmmm….

that's because it's a trend...
we have seen a lot of cars get into the piano black which leaves fingerprints and scratches.
we are now seeing a shift away from Piano black across all auto manufactures....Acura is just always late to the party.
