New Tire suggestions
Hello all
we received our MDX advance last week. Drove around 400 miles. Everything looks nice just the Tire noise.
planning on replacing OEM Bridgestone with either Michelins Primacy Tour or Pirelli Scorpion Plus 3
any suggestions???
Thank you

My recommendation would be Goodyear Assurance MAX. I've had 3 sets over the years and they are rated for 80,000 miles, are quiet, and stick to the road like it's contact paper. As soon as my OEM need replaced, that's what I will be getting again.

My last SUV was a Mazda CX-9 that came with garbage Bridgestones from the factory. I don't think I've ever heard of an OEM Bridgestone tire performing well, so good call on replacing them.
That said, I switched to Continental TerrainContact H/T tires on the CX-9 and they were fantastic, especially in winter conditions. I never found myself wishing I had a dedicated winter/snow tire. Deep/fresh snow, packed snow, slush, etc. Those tires handled it all very well. That said, I think the blocky tread pattern maybe contributed to some noise at highway speeds, but it seemed fine to me. I imagine the MDX would only be quieter. I'd personally get another set without hesitation if I had a vehicle that was compatible with them.

Otherwise, of the tires you specifically asked about:
Michelin Primacy Tour: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...m=255VR8PTASV2
Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...=455HR9SASP3XL
Looks to me like the Pirellis take it as far as the Tire Rack customer survey results go, which I've generally found to be reliable when making tire purchase decisions.
