My iphone 12 pro max charges on the pad no problem. I need to have the front of the phone pointed to the rear of the car with the phone sitting at a diagonal with the rear of the phone which is now pointed to the front orientated towards the driver.

I don't take delivery of my 2022 MDX A-Spec until Wednesday of this week, but I've followed this thread for a while and wanted to offer my .02 on the wireless charging.
I have both a personal iPhone 12 Pro and an iPhone 12 as a work phone. Each has relatively thin silicon cases, and neither has ever had an issue charging on the wireless pads when I've stopped by my local dealer on occasion as I await delivery. I somehow can't help but think all of the qualms I've heard about this issue are related to the cases that people have their phones in.
I'll post later this week when I take delivery of my own and whether or not I have any issues.

I have found that my iPhone 13 Pro Max charges fine when centered on the charge pad. Any sort of sliding of the phone will stop the charging. I tried what E92Vancouver mentioned and that is working for me...so far. My wife has resorted to not using the pad and going the wired route as there is literally a charge port right next to the charge pad.
