^^^^Which means before taxes of 7% and tire disposal fee of $8, they charged you $26 per wheel to mount and balance. If that price doesn't include road hazard, you got screwed out of about $40-$50. If that price includes road hazard, you did fine....

discount tire charges 2.50 a tire for disposal fee, 15 for install and road hazzard per tire...thats 70 bucks, plus 448 for 4 tires, plus tax...tax in my area in texas is 8.25

i come up with 560...unless you got the replacement certificates to go with them...

Yes stock tire size 235/45r-17. I was thinking of going to a larger tire(same make but diff model) 245/45r 17 but these seemed like a swell deal. I did get their "certs" for each tire. Interestingly enough I had a sidewall puncture 2 days after buying the tires and they replaced it without charging me a cent and my "certs" would carry over to the replaced tire.

My total was $599 OTD. I wonder if I started walking to the door if the salesman would have dropped it another $20.

Seems like this area in Tomball is a good place to buy tires as there is a NTB, Goodyear, and a couple of other tireshops nearby. Discount Tire seems pretty cut throat about selling tires. I wonder if I could've haggled NTB into giving me a better price.

For the same tire size the Goodyear store quoted me $494 OTD for some no name brand (Capitol tire i think).

At my Discount Tire in Colorado OTD price on those tires is $682 w/ tax so I'd say you got a good deal.

Oh yeah. Must have missed that post. Oops. It's a great deal on a good tire either way.

I have put about 50k miles on these tires in the last 3 yrs and still have decent tread left.
I could probably get another 25-30k miles out of them. I have never used the certs. I rotate and balance regularly. Great tires.
