Yokohama ADVAN S.4. anyone?
Continuing to search for a tire that will be superior to the BFG's that came on my '08 TL, I'd like to solicit feedback from anyone in here that has the Yokohama ADVAN S4 on their vehicle. How do you like them, what do you dislike about them, are they noisy, how many miles did you put on them, and how do they handle in the snow/ice?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Pros:
Actually less expensive than the Michelins, believe it or not.
Much better cornering and more responsive.
Much better in the rain. I have a 6MT and the OEM Michelins would easily squeak, squeal, and spin when I started from a stop at a stop light or stop sign. Pure grip from the Yokohamas.
A little bit quieter.
Cons:
Stiffer ride but that could be a pro depending on your likes/dislikes.
Expensive vs. Bridgestones 960s and Goodyear F1s.
I can't comment on snow performance as I'm from near San Francisco. We never get snow but we do get some black ice on rare occasions.
Be sure to check out the Goodyear F1 A/S too as many here are raving about their performance. The Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions are excellent too. You really can't go wrong with any of these tires. Just don't go back to the OEMs!

S.4 245/45-17-Never had them in the snow, but a fantastic all around tire.
I'd look into the Yoko W4S also. Actually a wider tread and quite a bit less money.
I sound like a broken record, but the GY F1 A/S tire is small in comparison.
245/45-17 tread width:
S.4 8.7"
W4S 9.2 "
F1 A/S 8.4"

In Search Of Sunrise....
I've had the W4S which i got from tire rack for $115/each. They are considerably cheaper then the S4, and I've had them for about a month now, roughly 3k Miles. Yeah, I drive a lot.
We've gotten a significant amount of snow here in the northeast and I have to say that these tires performed fairly well. Wet traction/Snow traction isn't the greatest I've seen, but if your a semi-experienced snow driver then these tires are more then enough to get you home safely.
Dry traction is great. Very responsive and very quiet compared to stock. Granted I've only had the tires for a month, but for the price they have met my expectations.
