The weird thing is I'm not that low, I'm about 1.3-1.5 on tein ss and would like to go a little lower but need to fix this slight rubbing issue. I only hear it on the front left on freeway dips, looks like the tire size and the offset are just enough for rubbing once in a while. Wheels look great though

I think Jayvee ended up having to use some new center caps and he heated them up and popped into place...not sure what the process was exactly.
I'd go 5 hole setup...this is the one instance where I'd rather have less holes to see.

that's not much of a stretch, probably similar to a 225 on a 9'er...10MM less equals a 1/2 in less, right (about)...

(nevermind the whale ejaculatez I tried to wax my car with...)

Thanks, just wanted to see how my current tires would fit on that 18x9.75 in the rear. Debating on going 18x8.75 all around or do the 18x8.75 up front and the 18x9.75 in the rear

Everyone I see "play it safe" and not go as aggressive as they'd wanted, ends up regretting...or getting spacers and regretting...and then sell the rims.

To touch on what has been said... +1 with Jerm, that size tire really ain't saying much as far as aggressiveness. The only thing I see coming out of that size tire in the rear on a 9.75 is PROBLEMS! And that will leave a very bad taste in your mouth about the whole XXR thing when all it was a miscalculation on your end. That tire IMO will be too meaty for the wide of wheel. Trust me! I am STRETCHED and I still have issues and requires some modding for the perfect stance. Go aggressive or stay stock! I also agree with what Jerm when he said those have regretted it for not taking it to the next level. I personally sat on the fence debating what size and what offset. Boy! I am so glad I went the route I did. 18x8.75 w/215-35's and rear 18x9.75 w/225/35's...SPOT MILF~FUNKIN ON!

19x9.75 225/35 rears slammed, tucked, cut and rolled!

oops...Missed this comment...Yes, like he said, I purchased TYPE -S anthracite center caps and they do not and will not fit at all at first. Buy a heat gun, if you do not already have one, and heat them up one at a time slowly and carefully stopping every once in a while to test fit. They will still be very unforgiving while test fitting and it may even seem as they will not work and won't fit. It will take a lil muscle and working them side to side and around. Then once they are in, I heat them up again and with a rubber mallet of the tip of your NIKE AIR MAX's...lol! Kinda just tap em in there for secure measures. Once they are in, they are in there for the long haul! I can help more if u ever need it.

And WA-LA!

This man speaks the truth. Exact thing happened to me. Sold my rims just recently, spec were 19x8.5 +38 and of course used spacers.

Just bought 18x9.5 F and 18.10.5 R +30 all around, and of course will not need spacers. Make sure you do it right the first time so you don't waste your money like I did.

If you do the staggered setup you can do a 215 or 225 tire up front and 225 or 235 tire in the rear. Look at Ebelp's car. He has 215 front and 225 rear and the stretch isn't really bad at all.

I'm set on the staggered set now and was just wondering since the 235 tires on my aspecs are only a few months old and wanted to swap them over. I still have a small amount of wheel gap in the rear with my current aspecs and my rears are rolled.

Just shot these today to give u a BIRD's eye view...LOL! Get it! BIRD's eye view...Since PREDATORBIRD shot these for me during a Mini Shoot we had today Sorry, thought it was funny

as u can see in the pics. LOTS of work was needed to accomplish this stance. U can see the damage done to the rear tire until it was done right or as much as possible since I am one of the few that still drives with 5 ppl family in his car at this STANCE. Maybe even "THE ONLY ONE"...lol! And my family is the ONLY reason why the rear sits 1/2in higher then what I would like.

check my build thread for the rest of today's shoot

This maybe true. That is why I was letting you see for yourself and explaining how radical my drop is. As I rolled up to meet PREDATORBIRD/Adam today, His first reaction was, "DAMN! You car is low as hell! and more so in person" True story...I think my lowest point up front maybe only 2in (IF THAT) from the floor. So if u are doing a modest drop, u maybe fine. But I also could have sworn I read someone only on springs and was complaining about rubbing a lot with a meatier tire. Just don't remember the size wheel and tire specs of his 530s.

Wonder how much further my fronts will poke out then? I'm running a 15mm spacer with my aspecs up front and have a 20mm on the rear

Hard to compare APPLES & ORANGES since the stocks have such HI offsets. But surf the 530 thread until you see exactly how u want your car to look, then use that build and stance as a guide. Find out what that person did, did not do and the whole 9... My inspiration was Ebelp (spell that right???) John. I asked questions till I got all my answers...Then pulled the trigger on the exact set up.

Yeah, John (Ebelp) is the man when it comes to wheels and pulling them off. I think his car provides a lot of inspiration for others on here.

Just like I commented in your progress thread Jay, those pics are awesome! Love the rolling shot! What tire sizes are you running? And did you ever solve the UCA clunk?

I will post pics tomorrow I am running the 530s on 235 tires with 8.75 all around. I am lowered about 1.5 or so on tein ss, if that. I get slight rubbing on my left front on freeway dips. If I could do it over I might play it safe and get 225 tires. Trying to get fronts rolled and slightly pulled this weekend hopefully that helps. Check out the pics tomorrow to see what you think and then order from there!

I will also take a pic of the slight poke so you know exactly what it is. Little more than I wanted but didn't want to deal with spacers. The poke is for sure more noticeable than you have in your pic of stockies

I did the same center cap switch and all you need is a hair dryer haha

I hear these wheels are coming out in early 2013 in 19's. I have a set of Toyo 245/35/19 tires sitting in the garage for a few years (got a great deal). What nonstaggered size width and offset do you guys recommend for the tires I have? I have tein ss coilovers right now. I don't care for the wheels poking out or stretched tires, but just want a clean simple look. Any insight would be appreciated.

For a clean/simple setup without modification and wanting to utilize your 245 tires, the specs you will have to run are 19x8.75 +35.

for geeteedan: i'm only dropped about 1.3-1.5 on tein ss (minor rubbing issue once that is fixed i'll drop more...so no jokes about my wheel gap ), running 235/40/18 nitto motivo tires, and my wheels are xxr 530 chromium black 8.75 +20 all around. rears are rolled and have a camber kit...fronts might get roll and slight pull this weekend. about 1.5 finger gap all around. if i did it again i would prob go 225 tires

Both of you are looking great...
Josh, did you pull your front fender? Or did the tire do it for you?
PS...like my ex gf used to say if I saved myself for a huge load for her..."my, you've come really far".

SHUT UP about the damn detail and wax/detail needed!!!

Josh, did you pull your front fender? Or did the tire do it for you?

No, just rolled the shit outta the front fenders. If u are talking about that ever so slight pulled look on the driver side where the fender meets the bumper, that was when I was rolling it and did not cut a seperation to the V shape heading toward the bumper and it pulled (Inward) some. Since then, the edge has been Dye Grinded down so it does not cut my tire or rub like they did with the 19s
