acorn refers to the non-seating side of the lug...the bulge part. it has a conical seating surface, 60 degrees tapered

Actually, "acorn" refers to the 60 degree conical seat...just another name but definitely the hub side. Honestly, I used gorilla's on my aspecs for the longest time with zero issues.

I don't know if this has already been answered or not ( I couldn't find it), but I have an 04 TL and if I wanted to keep the stock rim size, what size of the XXR 530 should I get?

Looks sick Jayvee! I tried searching through earlier posts on your suspension setup but had no luck. What drop are you on, and any issues with the 9.5's on the rear yet?

F&F HeelToe Type1 v2 ...and I had 19x9.5 ...These are 18x9.75 in rear and the answer is YES! They do rub. But a smooth rub since fenders are rolled the stretched wall of the tire rubs on the folded lip in the rear. It will req more extensive fender mods. Those are the tweaks I will be attending to soon to get a lower aggressive stance and poke.

XXR + H&R Sport Springs

Hey guys...just thought I would share my

For the people who are deciding on getting springs with these rims - DONT!!!. Same money & get Coilovers... But over all they look 'OK'. I just wish i could go lower

Rims
18 x 8.75 +20 (Front)
18 x 9.75 +20 (Rear)
All wrapped Achilles 225/40/18
Currently dropped on H&R Sport Springs

Name: photo5.jpg
Views: 1933
Size: 129.0 KB
Name: photo.jpg
Views: 1601
Size: 164.4 KB

FRONT - Looks decent with the width size and drop.
Name: photo2.jpg
Views: 1551
Size: 109.2 KB
Front - TOP view
Name: photo1.jpg
Views: 1497
Size: 73.8 KB

REAR - The H&R Springs isnt that low in the rear so the wheel gap is a little too much & it pokes a little for my taste (another reason to go lower). I did roll the rear fenders.
Name: photo4.jpg
Views: 1534
Size: 80.5 KB
Rear - TOP view
Name: photo3.jpg
Views: 1472
Size: 84.9 KB

Please excuse her - she's Dirty!!!. But hope this helps. If you guys need more pics just PM me.

Doot, looks awesome, man. I have H&R's on my wife's car and same issue, rear didn't drop enough for us. I ended up cutting 1 of the dead coils (a coil that offers no rebound when compressed) and it didn't affect the ride. Might give you that extra little bit of low you're looking for.

I think it looks GOOD! I also agree you do not need to be slammed to look good. But on the other hand like TL dude said it can go a little lower and with what Jeremy offered as advice maybe work perfect

Interesting....so the ride isn't bouncy or anything like that? I am pretty new to all this so is this more like DIY or would shops be able to do this.
Or I was trying to look for a deal on some Tein SA's.

I've been keeping up with this thread for a while now. I see a lot of +20 offset, but does anybody have pics of the 18 x 8.75 +35 offset?

I'm not into the poked and stretched look and I'm curious what the +35 look like.

Don't forget that in losing some of the rear aggressiveness, you're going to lose a LOT of the concavity of the wheel...which, in my opinion, is the real pizzazz of this wheel.

Dooot, no real "DIY" so to speak...honestly, the first car I messed with I cut coils on the spring but didn't know much about what I was doing, basically, I cut coils that DID offer rebound and DID make it bouncy. With the H&R's...I looked at the spring when the car is sitting normally and you can see which coils do NOT offer bounce and just rest up against each other. They basically end up being like a spacer that lifts the car the height of a coil. It's as simple as removing the spring assembly, cut a coil off with a $12 harbor freight angle grinder. Done.

hard to show the comparison but here's her car originally...look at the rear

and this is it now (along with spacers and my aspecs)

^Roll your fenders, your tires are too wide for that offset.

Should have gotten 225's, 245's are a little wide for this offset/rim width.
