XXR 527 question

I was going to order these rims today and called to see if they were going to fit my car the guy told me that a +20 or +30 offset would not fit my car but I see many people with these how's that?

because the guy who told you that doesn't know anything. Ask people who have done it and what they did to make it work

et20 @ 8.75 provides a few mm poke in the front, none in the rear and is the best fit for our cars if you don't want to run a retarded camber setting.

You can run staggered at et20 8.75 in the front, 9.75 in the rear, irrespective of width, a 235 profile tire is the max, most of us are running 225.

Don't bother with any offset higher than et20, you'll lose the concavity.

Fender work WILL BE REQUIRED, either cut or roll, the degree of which will be defined by your drop. I'm cut, wouldn't do it any other way, so friggin simple.

IMHO, 18x8.75 et20 all around is pure WIN, I have a thread dedicated to all fellow AZiners in the 527 cr00, check it out, and don't forget to hit the THANKS button at the bottom of this reply.

I have these wheels.... u will need 5mm spacers to clear the bbk if ur car is a 6spd!!!! I installed pirellis p-zeros 245/40/18s n the traction is amazing, I had pirellis p-6s before that mounted on my stock wheels n I couldn't stop spinning my tires after the SC, now these wheels/tires combo grab like crazy n no rubbing either n im lowered

if you dont drop your car dont bother buying these rims...it will basically look like shit without a drop.

Also you should definitely purchase coilovers before you purchase rims just my opinion lol

dude what offset did you go with? If u went with a +20 then you should not need spacers

Forgot to mention, the specs on the ones I got are 18x8.75 with +35mm offset.... every other spoke in the wheel clears the brembos but the rest don't... as I mention before, u only need 5mm spacers for them

were you the guy selling the chromes aspecs in 19s? I think I was texting you about them back in the day but i ended up getting the xxr 527's. I saw your album...the only problem is yours dont look concave at all because u chose a 35 offset

This is how it looks with 9.75 and et 20 in the rear

Go for it. I wanted to keep everything wholly functional and not have to worry about scraping/bottoming out/not being able to rotate my tires. TLDude holds the crown...for now.

9.75? Did u mount 205s on those??? I don't understand why ppl buy wider wheels n put smaller tires on them... isn't the whole point of getting wider wheels so that u can get wider tires therefore more traction???????? I think it looks cheap when u mount small ass tires on wide wheels.... that's just me.

Deathmetal I know what you mean...I was also thinking about the tire rotation issue...but decided to sacrifice that so I could have a more aggressive setup. Thats why I am going with falkens lol CHEAPER so it won't hurt me as much to go through more tires

I don't care who holds the crown haha imo you were the one who started these wheels on the TL and you were my motivation to actually purchase the more aggressive offset because I saw you were able to clear the 8.75's by cutting the fender. Thanks for all the info and help
