Which will sit further out? Got wheels no fit!!
I just recieved some wheels that were supposed to be 20 x 7.5 with a 42mm offset.
They came as 20 x 7.5 with a 40mm offset.
Needless to say they do not clear my Brembos by 2mm.
If I would have recieved the correct wheel with the 42mm offset would it have cleared? Or been 2mm further in?
Anyone know where I can get soem 10mm spacers?

I think it would have been further out. i have 45mm offset on my wheels. It didn't clear so they add a spacer that was 3mm but it was to closes to brembos for me. They put a 5mm spacer and it was better but i going to try a 4mm and see how that fits

The higher the offset, the more tucked in, the lower the numeral offset, the more they clear the calipers and poke out liek a lowrider. So adding a 5 mm spacer should put you at 35mm offset, get it?

7.5ET40 sticks outward more than 7.5ET42, so even if they sent you the desired ET42, it would've actually been worse.
And even then, the hub and spokes design also play a big role in caliper clearance.
Start out with 5mm spacers and see if they will help clear the calipers. If not, move up to 10mm. Or you could return the wheels and get something else.

I actually don't see an issue with it other than potential rubbing, but the others on the forum have other opinions...just trying to help make your decision a more informed one.
Good luck with your spacers!
