I deeply apologize if this has been clearly answered before, I have searched and searched but I cannot find a definite answer, so please spare the flaming.

Just as the title states, I'm inquiring whether or not a set of 18" x 8" TL A-Spec wheels wll clear my 6MT Brembo's. I see that 18" x 8.5" ones exist and they seem to clear fine from my searching, but I lack info on the 8" wide ones.

all TL wheels produced between 04 and 08 will fit all 04-08 TL models regardless of trim, trans or anything else. and its less to do with the width, as it is with the offset...which should be the same for all TL wheels.

You are right about the changeability of the wheels, they will fit. However when I installed '08 base wheels on my 2007TLS a single credit card will just pass between the closest part of the spoke and the Brembo caliper. Two credit cards will not so it is pretty close. FYI, I'm going to fit some 3mm spacers to improve the clearance. I've put 2000 miles on the wheels since the change from OE waffles and there is no contact with the Brembo calipers. Just real close.
