will 17x9 +35 offset be too wide or sticking out on my 04 TL?

please refer to the following link to know which brand, model, look, size of rim I am referring to for a better idea

http://www.maximwheels.net/daivivid.htm

so i'll be looking at the 17x9 +35 on that styling.

I have a 2004 TL with the 6spd tranny (so it has the factory brembo bigger caliper in the front).

will 9 inch wide with +35 offset make the rim stick out too much from the fender? i don't want (1) fender scratching the tires, (2) look un-flush and odd

btw, my car will be lowered about 1.2-1.5" in total with the comptech spring and koni sp3 shocks.

thank you for any inputs.

Myself I think the 17" is going to look odd .. too much tire.

Here is a 19 x 8.5 on a +35 offset for reference ... assuming the extra 1/2 inch is split evenly it should stick out 1/4" more ..

Will it clear the brembos ... dunno ... do a test fit of a rim only first before buying

I would do at least 18x9+35, 17s will look weird if you're not slamed
