Hey guys, I'm wanting to get a couple of sets of wheels refinished in a color as similar to Acura's Ebony Chrome as possible. Unfortunately, I'm having 0 luck finding such a place in my searches.

For reference, here's a pic:

I'm pretty sure the finish is some sort of powder-coating instead of real chrome, but you guys might know better than me.

The closest thing I have found is PVD chrome, which isn't chrome at all, but rather a super thin, and very light coating. It's a bit dark for my application, but I'm not sure about the long-term durability.

Most manufacturers make a color similar to this, it's super popular at the moment. Here's one from BBS:

My question is; have any of you successfully had someone refinish a set of wheels in this type of finish?

Here I am, replying to my own thread. lol

I have found a company that specializes in OEM wheel finishes. They say that the Ebony color on the Acura wheel is painted, not powder-coat, or plated. They are researching to find the exact color code for me. If they can't find it, I may have to go with their Infiniti Hyper Silver color, which I believe to be very similar.

Quick update. They can do an exact match on Acura's Ebony Chrome. I'm having my Miro's done and will post back to this thread with pix once I get them back.
