Lightbulb Where to buy TPMS sensors

I know I don't post much here, but I've been here awhile and figure someone might benefit from this info....

The sensors on my 2007 TL-S were getting flakey last winter - some would register zero in cold weather, so I decided to replace them in September. I'm not sure where I discovered tpmsdirect.com, but I bought a set from them. I bought some new tires and had the new sensors swapped in at that time, but they were not recognized by my car. My mechanic has a high-end diagnostics device and he offered to try a reset on them but the sensors were still not registering and the car continued to tell me about it every time I started her up...

Recently while looking for new wheels on TireRack, I realized *they* sold new TPMS sensors (and they are much cheaper than TPMSdirect.com too). I talked to them and they told me that their sensors should work - they had no complaints on file of 3G TL customers with issues with their sensors. So I bought a set.

Today I had my shop swap out the sensors and those from the 'Rack (which were OEM, or at least that's what the tire shop told me) and they IMMEDIATELY started registering pressures with the car. Months of listening to the annoying beeping when I started the car were done. Hallelujah!!

I've been in a Paypal war with tpmsdirect.com - I sent them numerous emails when I having trouble with their sensors & they were not helpful - but the useless ones are headed back to them today. Big to their lack of customer service.

i had luck getting mines off ebay - used OEM - but they worked right away, drove less than a mile and the sensors relayed the correct pressures. Lot cheaper than buying new, and OEM to boot.

thanks for the tip on the feedback for tpmsdirect.com

Good suggestion, but Tirerack is still cheaper ($39/per vs. $61/per).

I didn't. I opened the thread, got distracted, came back to it and posted as well as sending you a PM. My apologies, complete oversight on my part.

I had a similar issue years ago, but not with tpmsdirect, and have purchased OEM ever since. They're stupid expensive, but worth it IMO.
