When do get an alignment after just lowered car
How long should I wait before I get an alignment, I just had my tein coilovers put on today and the shop said give it a few days before I get an alignment to let everything settle. Is that correct? what is the apprx. days I should wait before I get an alignment for my car.

DO it right away
There is nothing ~to settle~ in gas shocks.
If everything was installed correctly there should be tire clearance and no thunks!
Assuming everything has been road tested as good-- head for the rack

um you guys are hilarious... if you use stock shocks and swap out the springs, swap out shocks and springs or opt for a coilover setup, it could take up to 2 weeks for the car to toe in
wait 2 weeks

It does not take 2 weeks for things to settle!!! Maybe in the old days of oil shocks.
The OP of this thread went Tein, so no waiting period before alignment- once the tire clearance issue has been addressed
If your new springs need time to settle, you bought garbage. Spring coils are wound and sprung- end of story. You are not running Nascar qualifying springs, which do sink by design to get around the rules~
Rubber--if your tophat is that messed up replace it.
I went so far as to weigh the car front and rear to ensure the height front/rear was correct for car balance, since that changes with spring perch height on coilovers

Ummm, maybe I'm wrong but... I know the struts may not settle but wouldn't the springs? I waited about a week before I aligned my car after I installed my Tein SS's and new wheels.

Every shop I asked, and I mean a lot of shops, said that you do not have to wait for the car to settle. They said settling is not an issue, that there will be bare minimum, if any, settling with the TEIN setup. I did mine like about a week later because of some suggestions here as well, but I saw absolutely no difference in my ride height during that time. In fact, the shops suggested I get the alignment as soon as possible to avoid any wear on my tires.
