Wheels and tires for winter

I got an '07 TLS about a month ago. It came from the dealer with the summer performance tires. I live in Illinois, and I'll need some all season or possibly winter tires after the Fall. I was considering buying some better wheels.. 18s or possibly 19s, and then just putting all season tires on my stock wheels. My other option is to just grab some stock TL wheels and tires off ebay or any other site. Does anyone know where I can pick up some of those? Either way it's looking to be expensive..

I'm from illinois too. I kept my stocks as winter wheels/tires (they were the all seasons though). I think you can trade in your current tires for some winter tires. I worked with an autowork store to get my new wheels. I went to 19s and love them. I have the old set in the basement right now for next winter. The all seasons arent amazing winter tires, I would go for some snow tires for winter-only.

Yeah I wouldn't mind if my tires were the all seasons from Acura. I'd be able to handle it in the snow no prob. So where do I go to trade in my summer tires?

And about your 19s.. have you had any problems at all? I was thinking about 18s, but the 19s look a little better.

think you can pick up the old oem 17' TL wheels for about a 100/each.

My 17" oems are currently for my 'winter' setup w/ Continental Contiextreme Contacts (one of the best winter rated all seasons)

$100 each? Do you know where I can pick them up? I checked eBay, but couldn't find much. Slim for choices, and they were still pretty expensive.

Problem is since you own a 07, you will need the tire pressure monitors.

Those retail 40ish a piece, so even at 100 its really 140 if they dont come with.

you will need the tpms regardless. Sorry I forget where I saw them for cheap. I *think* it was a company, not ebay. Try checking a junk yard too
