Wheels refinishing!

Hey Acurazine, i had Volks GT-S wheels for a few months now and i am loving every bit about them. But i am starting to see a little hazing on the chrome/polished lip part. What do you guys use to polish that out. When i clean my wheels i only use water and a microfiber towel to clean it. I heard/read somewhere that we arent suppose to use wheel polish/cleaners for the chrome/polished part because it can damage the finish. Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance
Dat

Wax or non-abrasive compound.

Ok... is the lip actually chrome? Or polished and cleared? Or just polished? Or an overlay?

Just using a MF and water will scratch .. water has no real ability to lubricate the surface and float away the dirt thus it wet sands the surface.

To tell you the truth i am not quit sure if its cleared tooo. But i read somewhere that after someone use some wax or something on these volks it will mess up the polished part. Like it left a holgraphic finished. But tell me about that black rag thing, what you described is that a bad thing???

And what you mentioned before, I was wondering why there are some scratches?? Darn it!!

The wheels are Volks GT-S if that helps you any!

I tried to look up info on them before I posted but no luck.

The black on the rag will only come if its a bare aluminum wheel and its not a bad thing .. its the wax/polish lifting the oxidization.

If it is in fact bare then the polish like mothers Billit & Aluminum polish will work. One thing is allways use it on a very soft cloth and apply in straight lines .. not circular. In other words with the curve of the rim part.

The guys that end up with holograms use crap cloths .. wrong polishes/ waxes and circular application.

If it is cleared then treat them like your fender.
