Wheel Question.

Wheel Question.
I am thinking about purchasing some Volks for the car. My concern is what offset. Ive read sooooo many threads on this already. But for some reason it hasnt clicked. Everyone seems to have a different offset for their particular application. I just received an e-mail from this guy down here in Dallas who can get Volks and happens to have the ones I want in stock. He said he had them in a +46 offset. Now 260 HP (who Ive talked to from time to time) has Volks and his are a +35 offset, which brings me to my question. This guy that email me said "I have them in a +36 offset its Aggressive (These are aggressive settings, meaning you may have to roll the lip of your fender if you have too thick of a tire.) That part I dont understand. Doesnt that offset mean that the wheel will sit inside more? So he's saying that there will be some rubbing because my wheels will hit what?. He also said that he has them in a non-aggresive. He said "All that are not stated aggressive means it will stay inside the wheel well a bit, that way it doesnt have a chance to rub the fenders." So the higher the offset the better you are? The more non-aggresive so to speak? Now throw the fact that Im gonna drop the car as well. How much does that effect it? As you know Im just a little lost on this. I just want to get it right. I didnt think there would be so much involved in this so any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Offset theory: the higher the number, the deeper the wheel will sit, given the same width. So.... say your OEM wheels are +45 offset, 8" wide will sit 10 mm deeper than a wheel with 8" wide and +35 offset.
Anyways, here is what I know with my wheels. I have Dunlop Direzza DZ-101 at 245/35 R19 and the wheels are 35 offset with 8.5" wide. They didn't rub any part of the fender, instead the left lip of the bodykit that's screwed onto the bumper, if you know what I'm talking about. This only happened when I had 5 guys (not small built ones either). Other than that, it clears everything. It didn't hit the right bodykit lip either.
IMO, 46 offset is definitely safe. You won't rub anything on the fender, knowing 04 A-spec wheels are 8.5" and 45 offset. But the car won't look agressive enough because the wheels sit too deep in the fender well. In some cases, the wheels may look smaller and narrower than they actually are. Trust me on this, cuz I've seen people buying wheels that are not really of the correct offset, and it actually makes the car looks worse.
In your case, say the wheels you're looking at are 19x8.5" and 46 offset. They actually will sit at about the same spot as the 04 A-spec wheels as naked eye won't be able to see the 1 mm difference.
If you have the same wheel with 36 offset, it'll sit about 10 mm (about 0.4") further out than the ones above. There's more chance of rubbing, of course, but I think it's still safe.
However, if you have camber kit, all bets are off...........

Finally, I was wondering where you were. Hey, thanks for the reply. Im going with the same suspension as yourself so no camber kit will be needed if I remember correctly. I think I will go with a more aggressive look. You have proven it will work. Ill have to wait cuz he doesnt have the aggresive ones on hand in gun metal. But Im in no hurrry anyway. Thanks again for the response bro. I was thinking backwards on this.

Oh, MugenR also goes with the same wheel/tire sizes as I do and his car is lowered with Tein S-Tech which is a touch lower than Eibach and his doesn't rub either. I know a few other members here have gone with the same setup as well and no rubbing.
