Wheel Problem.. please help!!
I just put on new shoes on the car (Momo Strikes: 19x8, 38 offset).. tires ( 245/35/19/ Yokohamas S drive)..
Took them to put it on.. get a call later saying they rub on the brake calipers.. i went i got spacers for the front.. no problem. after the guy is done he tells me that i need to get spacers made for acuras on all fours, not just front (spacers i bought are universal fit). he then tells me that i need a longer stud (20) and also that i need a deeper centering ring.. he tells me that this is a job that will take aprox. 12 hrs. ok question. Do I need all this done? i understand maybe getting new spacers for all wheels.. but new studs and centering ring..
when i took the car i noticed no problem in the handling... no vibrations at all...
what should i do?
thanks in advanced for the responses..

Wait, so they were on the car and it was driving fine and now the guy is telling you you need all these things?
First of all why did you take to this place?
Secondly, look into V2 Ichiba spacers...IF, you do need it, they are about 250 for a set of 4. Do your research before you plop a bunch of money on nothing. Make sure you figure out which spacers you want/need and whether or not you'll need fenders rolled etc.

i got the wheels put on today.. i took it this place cuz all they do is custom wheel stuff... i bought the wheels assuming that they were going to fit just fine.. thats what the place were i bought them told me (buywheelstoday.com).. im assuming i do need the spacers cuz the guy told me the rub upfront bc of the brembo brakes.. they charged me $32 for universal spacers they had.. but what about the longer stud and the deeper centering ring??

for 30 bucks it's just a piece of metal...I'm guessing he's talking about some sort of hubcentric sleeve and long studs since now less of your OEM stud will show thru the rim with your spacer on.
Look into this...you handy? You can install these yourself and after 12 hours labor, this option will probably cheaper and MUCH better quality. Don't mess with these cheapy workarounds...you don't want the vibrations and weirdness and danger that may come from cheap spacers etc.
J.
If you DROVE to the wheel shop, what was the problem. I'm making an assumption since you said it was fine...if it was rubbing, you would KNOW!
Here,
V2...check it out...just make sure your wheel has the empty space behind where the OEM lug will sit.
