Wheel dilama, need advise and help.. please !
I need to change tires, so why not buy some wheels at the same time.
I am getting a crazy deal on MSR wheels... A deal I can't really pass on.
Problem is there are 2 models i like. One in 18 and one in 20. The size I wanted was 19.
I look at my 17 right now and they look so tiny. I think 18 might be abit small, but scared about rubbing issues and loss of performance on 20.
My car: 05 6mt with BBK. Eibach Pro-Kit (2 finger gap in front, 1 at most in the back )
I like to drive my car aggresively...
The wheels:
18 inch bye 8: http://www.msrwheels.com/auto_car_wheels.?id=411
tires: 245/35/18
20 inch by 8.5: http://www.msrwheels.com/wheels_detail_specs.?id=360
tires: 245/30/20
My questions:
1. ANY feedback on MSR quality ?
2. Since I have a bigger wheel will I have a bigger negative camber ? (daily driver can't scrap my tires in a couple thousand miles).. i know the toe has more influence on tire wear but camber still cause premature wear
3. offset offset offset... Will they fit
in the 20's they make it in +40 and +24... Would +24 in the front would be too much right, but +40 wont fit the brembos ?
in the 18's they make it only in +35. that would fit right ? would it be an aggresive stance ?
4. will 20's screw up my VSA , ABS . And will be speedometer be way off ?
5. performance.. never switch rim size before so not sure what the performance loss will be. How big of a difference, will I still enjoy my car as much as I do ?
6. Any other feedback aprreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help. (I did use the search feature but did not find all the info I was looking for hehe )
