Wheel Alignment

When I get my wheel alignment tomorrow, is that going to take my camber away? Also, what is the difference between the camber arm and the ingalls?

No offense but you should have asked these questions before modifying anything on the car

With that being said, alignments usually correct any camber/toe/caster. The TL came with certain specs when it left the factory and your shop will do their best to get your current setup within those specs.

The Ingalls rear camber kit are adjustable arms that can better help get your rear wheels closer to those factory specs. The stock camber arms can only adjust to a certain point, therefore many buy an aftermarket camber kit to help correct camber.

general question on alignment

Hi AZ: I just had bought a new set of tires today. The tire dealer recommended alignment and provided my measurements. I went to another place for the alignment. When I looked at the before measurements from both places there were deviations in the numbers:

LF Toe 0.01, 0.05
RF Camber -0.5, -0.7
Caster 2.5, 2.7
Toe 0.02, -0.13
Total Toe 0.00, -0.08
SA -0.1, 0.09

LR Camber -1.2, -1.3
Toe 0.20, 0.16
RR Camber -0.7, -1.0
Toe 0.18, 0.06
Total Toe 0.38, 0.21
TA 0.01, 0.05

Some of the deviations are really minor but there are some material variations (IMO). I just want to know whether you should get same measurements from different places. I went to both places on the same day. Any explanation from the gearheads?

Cuz, if the tolerances are so small and there is measurement variation then what would be the reason ppl regularly go for alignments besides for tire warranty purposes?

Thanks in advance.

it would be the same give or take .2 degrees. Most places will zero out the toe and some will tell you they cant adjust camber. Depends on where you go and how good the technician is.
