i am thinkin of dropping my car with Comtech springs and have 18x7.5 rims on it. what offset should i get to advoid any rubbing even with people in the car

 

48 to 50 will do the job for you.

Do a search and you will find a zillion posts on this topic. There are also many pics of comptech lowered TL's with 18X7.5 wheels.

 

i believe the comptech drop is very slight so even a less than ideal offset is ok. however, getting an offset slightly higher is always better. for 7.5" wide rims, a 45ish offset is cool. you will probably rub with a 42 offset...i rub occassionally (hard turns, very bumpy roads) dropped with eibach prokits (2.1 front, 1.6 rear).
