What is the MAX width for Wheels?

Is 9inch the max you can put on the 6MT TL without having the rims stick out in front and rear?

I found a post that someone had 20x9F and20x10R.

Any thoughts?

You probably could go 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear with a high offset. That's if you want a staggard look.

I am looking into putting some 19x9's!!! Hope it will fit b/c I am planning to lower the car 2inches front and 1.75 rear. However going by 8.5 should be no problems but I like that wide look!!

I want to put 18X8.5 on my 05 6MT. I'm looking on putting Volks...does anyone know what offset I would need to clear the front calipers??? I know some one w/ 19X8.5 w/ +43 offset, does this sound about right for the 18X8.5??? Thanks.

I found some wheels I am going to put on my TL and they are 10 inches wide in the rear. I know a place that put them on a TL out in cali and they fit perfectly.

i'm sure you could fit 15" wide rims. now that would surely be a eye catcher at the track.

you need to match tire-to-rim or vice versa.

depends on the spoke design.

a 40 offset is tight for brembo's. most post they got a 35 offset, but search some and you'll find many who have rims that fit over brembo's.

dont do 10s in the back....big headache in the making.

stick with 9s all around as your max.... and this is assuming a perfect (high) offset and assuming they;ll clear your brembos.

don't get 8s if your looking for a wide look.... 8.5 is probably the safe medium and works with lower offset.

i'd stay around 40-42-45 if you could. a 35 may work, but a 9" rim is pretty fat. if you have 6mt it will be hard to find an assortment of rims to fit, you need to clear brembos as well as not hit suspension arms when tire is on. what tire do you want to use that calls for a 9" rim width ??

i'd call tire rack to ask about the offset range for 19x9 on a 6 speed.

I have a auto TL and I was planning to put some 225 size tires on a width 8.5 or 9. I am looking for some Advan rims for my TL but just have to find the right sizes before I place an order. The Advan I was looking at is the Connoisseur 51c but they only come in 19x8.5 with either 44, 38 or 31 offset and 20x9 only have 42 or 32 offset. Any suggestion?

i would choose a 235 or 245 tire. 225 will look thin.

19x8.5x44 or 20x9x42 should work fine on the AT.
