What kind of wheels would you get if you had to stick with a 17" wheel?

I know, all you guys are why 17's?? Well, if you caught my last post Discount messed up my type S rims and couldn't find any used ones to replace them. My first thought was "why don't they just go to Acura and buy them new" then I called Acrua myself and found out their $330 a piece.

So they said go to our website and choose any wheel you want that fits your car. Well here's the problem I don't care for any of the rims they have. So today he said they can pretty much order any kind of wheel that I want within reason. I'm thinking the wheel can't cost no more than $300 a piece.

I'm open to suggestions but realize they have to be able to fit around my Brembo brakes since I have a Type S. I don't think I want to go chrome but don't mind a high polish silver.

If you have pictures please post!

Thank you everyone!!

You can check out the XXR wheels, Tenzo wheels, RonJon wheels, among many others. They will be under or around the $300.00 range per wheel you are looking to spend. I am sure you will have a few alternatives to evaluate.

If I had to do 17", I would stick with a wheel without a lip; in other words, a wheel which has the spokes extending to the very outer edge so it gives a maximum diameter design.

Seatown, I like the RonJon's too. They're specifically made for Honda/Acura. Look at the Inspyres-very sweet!

I'm a little confused. First you say they have to be 17's, then it's choose whatever you want. There are plenty of 18's and even 19's that would be in the <$300/wheel range. If you'll clarify, I'll make some further suggestions, but for now, here's my contribution.

I was locked into looking for only six-spokes for the longest time, and was considering Raze R74's and Tenzo DC-6's. After months of shopping (read obsessive torture), I decided to expand the scope to seven-spokes and went with Motegi MR125's which are a new release and are en route as I type. So I'll have at least an update/teaser pick this coming week.

My second choice were Enkei Imolas which may work better if you stick to 17's, but they're only 7.5"w. I don't know if the 17's will work, but the 18x8 +40 fitment will clear the Brembos.

I wouldn't rock any other 17" wheels besides the stockies. Discount Tire is screwing you on this deal. They messed up your wheels and they need to take responsibility for their actions and replace your Type-S wheels. You are saving them money if you pick out a set of wheels from them.

A local shop damaged my powdercoated A-Specs and they paid to have them totally redone because they were at fault.

I would run stock 04-06 wheels. You can get them for pretty cheap from the black market

Enkei for sure. Or stick with any OEM you like. In reality oem can't really get any better with aftermarket rim in a size 17's. Unless you go up in size get at least 8.5" rim width with 17" if you can. It will be less limited to the size tire you may get in the future like 255/40/17 which comes with 8.5" in tire width rather then stock oem rim size of 8". At least keep it in mind i didn't and wish i had.

2010 OEM rim?
