What happened to HT-Spec coilovers?

What happened to the HT-Spec coilovers from heeltoe automotive? Did they get discontinued? Sorry if this has already been covered, but I just went to the HeelToe Automotive website and searched for their coilover kits (threaded body) and the list shows every other coilover besdes the HT-Spec

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/home.php?cat=944

Anyone know?

There have been a lot of complaints on here about blown coils. That doesn't even include the people who don't post on this site. Maybe he pulled them from the website while F&F works on designing something new?

Well that sucks, I was just about to order a set of HT Spec 2s for my new Enkei Raijins that are coming in Anyway to have Heel Toe respond to this thread on the availability of the coils and when we can expect them?

In the meantime, what would be a good alternative I'm hearing Megan's and BC buzz words around the TL community can anyone vouch for their durability?

I had v2 Type 1s for a year too but mine wasnt blown when i took them out to sell

I even slammed my car twice & maxed it out once but still rode fine daily driven.

Right now i just bought regular function/forms Type 2s & its riding great at a slammed height.

I went with the ISC N1's height and dampner adjustment with possible pre-load adj.

Ready to install for around 900.00.

Has anyone had these coilovers more than 2 years without blowing them? More than a handfull is too much. Lots of unsatisfied customers here. What's next on resolving this issue.

I've had HT Spec Type 1 V1 (Purchased 1st quarter of 2011) and have had mine installed since July 2011. It's been 1 year and 5 months now and they are fine so far..

also curious

was hoping to pick up the type 1's as well. What else is good for simply just a drop while maintaining a comfortable and smooth ride?

Grrrrrrr I have HT coilovers and my rear passenger side is blown makes a ugly popping rattling noise whenever I drive over a bump or uneasy Tarmac and I haven't even owned the damn things for a year yet... What's even more upsetting is the return and exchange policy. Coilovers are suppose to be a 1 shot deal their fuckin brand new for Christ sake.

They come with one year warranty from the day of purchase,

if you suspect or know its blown contact F&F thru email.

They'll have you send it in with your invoice showing you

bought it new & fix it within a day after receiving it.

Yea this I already know... It's the down time the car will be sitting for as u take off the one coilover to send it in that's at least 5 to 7 days shipping it there and getting it back. When I inquired about purchasing a new rear coilover and sending my mechanically blown one in for a refund they said it couldn't be done.
I can't wait to take these things off TEIN here I come.

All brands can have defects, but I will say that I'm going on 4 years with my Tein SS with zero complaints so far.

That doesn't count...car parts don't age in FL. Putting your car through NY/NJ winters/potholes is the equivalent of smoking meth on a daily basis...it kinda decreases life expectancy.

Smooth roads, no emissions, and 80 degree winters... what's NOT to love about FL???

Yeah true but like Jeremy said all brands have one con,

ive heard/seen Ksports & Meagans blow too so its not just F&F.

If you got the money for Teins please go with the SS,

you'll regret it if you go with basics at least thats how my buddy with a 2G TSX feels.

I'n wondering what the difference between the two are... I wonder if they still feel comfortable. My HTspecs aren't the most comfortable I really want a difference setup but don't want to spend another $800+ as I'm about to get another set of rims, tires and front and rear camber kits. Life's a bitch man. What are u dropped on?

I'll tell you for sure basics are soft for a smoother ride,

the SS has EDFC which you can use to adjust your damper setting from inside your car.

Ive ridden in a 7G Accord & 2G TSX with basics, they were comfy

but not just stiff enough for my preference.

Im on Type2s,used to be on HT specs v2 Type1s but sold

em to a friend (wasnt blown) & upgraded, couldnt be much happier.

I say,if you have your stock suspension put them on

and send you blown shock in then you can flip that to

buy a whole new different suspension (cuts your spending cost)

Mine were so bad out of the box I returned them. Paid out of pocket for for neuspeed supercup, then sent back my HTs. They made my nice car ride and sound like a big pile of shit. I wouldn't recommend the HTs to anyone.

German shocks+springs>Chinese "coilovers"

I'll never make the mistake again.

Tein is Japanese, isn't it?
John...stop smokin dat meth, yo!
Yeah, Florida is mild but the roads can still be brutal and it's still 50k on a suspension. No complaints at all...

Ok, some complaints.
They don't go any lower (but I don't need lower)
The seat of the spring on the bottom perch when set to max low doesn't keep pressure on the spring so I have to manually reach in and make sure the spring is seated properly as I lower the car every time...that, or I've learned to only jack up one side or the other, not front/rear so the suspension pressure keeps the spring in place.

The ride, I have set to almost all the way soft and it's very forgiving...in my old age, it's appreciated.

Here's a good question. Are the HT spec coilovers any different from the function&form coilovers? I mean if I ordered a set of function&form coilovers would I be getting the same product that HTspec has??

I will admit though my suspension takes a beating where I live (jersey) and always takes a beating whenever I drive to NY besides the rear passenger side coilover being blown the suspension has stood up well against jersey and NY streets.
