What to do when A-spec is not low enough
What to do when A-spec is not low enough?
i was afraid of the harsh ride by lowering the car as never drove in one so i opted for the a-spec suspension which i heard is stiffer then stock but not as bad. Well now i find myself thinking that its not stiff at all... but i could use a little more lowering in the front... So i was looking at the H&R sport springs which i could get for 250. I got the a-spec for 450 so i didn't pay to much.
how much of a difference would the springs make in lowering and ride quality and how would they go with the a-spec shocks.
or would u recommend something else, the thing is i'm not looking to spend to much money.

I suggest you get coilovers, for about a $1000 you can raise / lower your ride any way you want and dial in the comfort level to your liking, i know the price is kinda steep but i think its worth. trust me you won't regret it !!

H&R Sport springs will get you about 3/4" lower than you are now; a little less than that actually.
I think these guys are right - sell the A-Spec kit, roll it over to a Nuespeed Kit or Coil-overs.

im about to spend $1100 for the base atlp exhaust so im not really looking to give out another grand. I have a gap in the front with the a-spec that i wish was a little less and i was hoping to achieve that with the H&R springs. A guy here is willing to sell them to me for 130 used. They are almost new according to him.

If you want to clean up your drop, you can just reuse the Aspec springs and use the Koni SP3 shocks/struts on the lowest perch. Then, you can make some money back by selling the Neuspeed Race Springs (or Sport Springs if you do that as a substitute in the kit) on the Black Market.
Or you can just use the Konis and Neuspeed springs and then sell your Aspec springs and shocks on the Black Market too. All in all, you'll come out with spending around $400 out of your pocket (less if you can sell the other stuff), and you'll be lowered with a great spring/shock setup.
I'd be weary about throwing lowering springs on the Aspec shocks because although some people are running that on here, that's not to say that they'd blow out just like the stock shocks... better to get the suspension done in one action rather than taking it out in the future again.

I agree with this! I currently have the A-Spec suspension, and after having it on for 6 months, the wheel gap still constantly bugs me. I went with the Neuspeed SuperCup kit from Excelerate, which was $599 shipped!

Sell the A-Spec kit - say $400.
Buy the Supercup Kit @ $600 and sell the springs for, say, $200 BNIB.
So far, you are even.
Now buy the H&R for $130 and put 'em on the Koni SP3.
Now the numbers might not be exact, but if the A-Spec is in good shape and low miles, it's worth a decent amount. You'll have to reseach a fair price on the Nuespeed springs.

You could always buy Koni Spors just for the front and re-use the a-spec springs. I'm very happy with the looks and performance. It's a little low for my tastes but it would probably be perfect for most people.

Thanks
NO. But I raised the rear Tein SS threads about 1/4" and the front 1/8". Plus I took my Hiro's off until my Teins settle. I just put them on for a test fit. I had the shocks set at full firmness and it rode pretty stiff and bouncy. I adjusted them in the middle. It says the Tein SS have 16 clicks on the shocks but I counted 22-23 ??? I just went all the way down to 0, then clicked 9 times clockwise. It rides much better now, and with the Progress RSB she handles great.
